He has Mississippi State ranked number 1 in the country and has beaten 3 top ten teams in a row. State is the only the fifth team in history to do that. But Mullen isn't a great coach though?

Mullen may have some hurt feelings over not getting a call when Florida was looking for a coach after Urban left.

Florida is one of the best jobs in the country.

Foley likely on his way out anyway.

Coaches don't care about the path of least resistance. Especially when looking for a job. No coach has ever take one job over another simply because it was in an easier division. These guys have huge egos, they think they can win anywhere.

If he can coach up Dak Prescott enough to win a frickin Heisman trophy, Mullen might be a GOAT coach.

I think Mullen has established that he knows the QB type he wants. He has also shown he can develope anywhere. Miss. State just won't be able to recruit on the level he wants for foreseeable future.

Zero. Has it made in MSU. Paid a bunch of money, zero pressure.

Mullen will retire at State, then become the AD. He will never leave.

I would doubt Stoops has enough resume for Florida at this point. They won't make the mistake of getting another HC with no experience, or little. Petrino will get a call.

I don't think Florida's AD and Mullen are too close.

My guess is Florida's AD isn't that popular right now.

How many jobs that would be considered top 10 have the state to themselves?

Sharing the state is one thing. Sharing the state with a team looking to win the National championship every year is another.

We can all agree LSU and Aggie were very over ranked being in the top 10. Think about that for a second. Mullen would be an idiot not to take the Fla job if offered. PERIOD
