Do you even know how good the wifi will be in that stadium? Sorry you morons don't understand modern architecture

Again it looks fine for Northern California, a place with a much different culture than the deep south. I understand that y'all are largely used to the SEC cathedrals but not every stadium has to be like that nor would such a thing be particularly desirable in today's day an age.

The DS meltdown over the MSBs derision for the niners new stadium is one of the most hilarious things that have happened on this board

It’s almost like ‘nice’ and modern could be the new generic. There have been a slew of stadiums opening up in the last decade or so.
I mean, Lucas Oil has a cool look, but is that even thought of anymore?
Going back farther, all of these seem to me to be sterile now:
Cleveland
Philly
Atlanta
New York
Detroit
Tennessee
Carolina
Baltimore
Washington
I know a jacked up crowd can make a difference in Philly and Cleveland, and I guess Baltimore, but I don’t think it does that for the others.
Then there’s Cincinnati, something I like about that one. Not sure what it is.

municipal stadium, which has so much nostalgia, they replaced it with the most cookie cutter design ever.
Stadiums had character back when they were named "War Memorial" or "Municipal"

Arrowhead also bland

You forgot the Superdome
The definition of bland is the 49ers stadium. Not only does it suck aesthetically, it's in the middle of frickin nowhere. The only nice thing about it is the views as your walking around the outer concourses.

Yup. The charm was authentic. Tiger Stadium is a perfect example. The old dorm windows, the arches, etc...all had some element of character.
New stadiums have tried to replicate that aged element, especially in baseball, and while nice, don’t offer something different. That said, the new baseball stadiums I think are much better than football stadiums.
Give me the old creaky facilities that rocked a bit when some blue collar fans got lubed out.

Denver's stadium is bottom 5. It seems a lot older than like 1999. It's a dump.

The Superdome looks like a UFO, so I guess it isn't that generic.

Old Giants Stadiu, >> Metlife
Also, Titans/Panthers/Ravens/Browns stadiums are kinda meh.
Best: Seattle, Minnesota, Detroit, Indy, NO

Cleveland Browns Municipal Stadium just had that nostalgic feel to it. With the steeeeeep upper deck that totally over hung the lower deck and was completely covered to trap the noise. Plus it had the "Dawg Pound" endzone seats that were literally 3 feet from the field. That stadium is why the Browns were so good for so long. Then Benedict Art Modell moved the team...listen i will admit that Cleveland needed a new stadium...Municipal stadium was just too old, but many fans feel like there was no creativity paying homage to the old stadium in the "new" stadium. It was built very cheaply with no emphasis put on design, which is a shame because the Cleveland has a beautiful back drop on Lake Erie.

Agree with this. Football is an outdoor sport.

The minute Ford Field opened thought it was the worst from afar. Granted never been there in person but it just looked awful on TV...at least the Kibbie Dome had some charm.
This was the NFL version of it without the charm.
Ford Field is just a generic hunk of junk piece erector set of metal and fake grass.

GTFO on the Bengals. The stadium is on the river, unique and downtown.
The product that plays in it is shite though.

Agree with this. Football is an outdoor sport.
People say it can't be played outdoors in some parts of the country because of cold or humidity.
But it WAS played outside in Minny and is still played outside in Green Bay and WAS played outside in N.O., and is still played outside in the South.
Football was mean't to be played in the early afternoon on real green grass under God's blue skies.
Like, Rose Bowl conditions.
Grantland Rice didn't write..."outlined against a claustraphobic dome under artificial lighting, the Four Horseman rode again."
He wrote: Outlined against a blue-gray October sky, the Four Horsemen rode again.
I hate night games, fake grass and indoors. That's Arena football. It's why the Sugar Bowl messes up everytime. Go back to Tulane. No more Domes. Sign the petition. Let's go back to the way it was.
I don't want to watch Arena football - there's a reason it died.
It feels like everytime I'm watching a Dome game...I'm watching some cheesy 80's movie about football and Arnold has to escape some Russian drug lord by playing QB and yelling at his linemen to get down...and Bridget Nielson is in the stands signaling to the refs while Stallone is getting popcorn and the stadium is playing Beat It in the background and everyone in the stands is wearing jorts and acid washed jeans and Members Only jackets over t-shirts that ask, "Where's the Beef?"
In short, Domes are the opposite of modern today. Maybe marvels of the past but relics now...it's not 1984 anymore.
The experiment is over. It didn't work. Let's go back outside and see the sun. Drink a beer under the sun on real grass...watching football like a free man.
