There is another Titans’ player positive test this morning and the inconclusive positive test from yesterday is now a confirmed positive, per source. The Titans’ facility remains closed and the prohibition on in person activities continues.

Going back to last week, the Titans now have had 12 players and nine non-players test positive.

At what point does the NFL consider forfeiting their games considering they broke protocol?

If this nullifies my bills bet "over 9 wins" due to a canceled game... I will be pissed.

Was told yesterday a forfeit hadn't been discussed for the Titans. Have to wonder if that changes as the situation continues. Potentially 2nd game impacted -- no place to put a rescheduled game unless they create a week 18. A mess that's created a lot of anger around the league.

At this point, I would just take a forfeit for this week and last week if there was no further punishment.

Technically, at the time the players had their practice on 9/30, the NFL had only forbidden "club" activities. Since the Titans' facility was closed and the practice was player-organized, it wasn't a club-sanctioned activity.

The NFL and the media obviously knew about the players' practice last week, because they banned players gathering together outside of the facility the very next day on 10/1. Several small outlets had reported that the Titans were still practicing on their own time.

What the Titans players did was very, very stupid, but wasn't technically breaking any protocol at the time.

Really, the NFL has fricked up by not including more built-in bye weeks throughout the season and accommodating situations such as this - but it is the Titans' fault for not being able to contain the spread.

Unless the NFL restructures the season today, they're probably going to make the Titans forfeit because Buffalo plays again next Thursday. If they make us forfeit AND take away draft picks, that's just total bullshite.

Players held a practice at another field when they were supposed to be working out remotely

The league should have built in multiple bye weeks, like every 4 weeks
In those 4 weeks have basically a pod of teams, each playing teams in other pods so any at risk games could be pushed back to that next bye week

Playoffs and SB get pushed back but oh well

I think they'll likely have to forfeit this week because of it. The NFL has sent memos stating this would be the case earlier this season.

I’m told by #Titans and #Bills players they were told there is an option of playing their Sunday game on Monday or Tuesday in Nashville. If that happens, Thursday night’s game between the Chiefs at Bills would be moved to Saturday. This all just being discussed.

NFL needs to stop with the bandaids and just push playoffs back/add in a few more bye weeks.

They didn’t send that out until after the titans illegal practice so it would be tough to use that punishment after the fact

The solution is to play the game anyway

Who gives a frick about positive tests among players?

The NFL, the NFLPA, all levels of government, the staff helping to put on the games, the NFLs lawyers, etc etc

I've heard some chatter that because of hotel room blocks and a lot of other factors, pushing the SB back a week would be a total logistical nightmare.
