I've heard some chatter that because of hotel room blocks and a lot of other factors, pushing the SB back a week would be a total logistical nightma

You don’t have to move the super bowl to add in a bye week

These times most people are use to last minute changes. Also with the stadium most likely being 25% capacity there’s a lot less issues with hotels.

The Super Bowl is in Florida, which is now allowing full occupancy in stadiums. It'll be up to the League, but we are talking February.

So you're suggesting getting rid of the bye between the SB and Championship week?

So the two best teams get punished because the Titans were idiots?

Yeah.

The NFL did this for years. It’s not a punishment. It’s just the reality of the situation. And something that the league has a history of doing. The bye week is not necessary

If you want to talk about punishment, what about the money that the Bills players will miss out on due to a forfeit?

The NFL didn’t ban them from practicing until the day after they practiced at the high school, some thing they had done in the past when the Titans facility wasn’t open

wanna try reading the entire article?

The Titans players were never informed they couldn't practice.

Multiple Titans players, however, have told ESPN that they were unaware that workouts had been banned on Sept. 29.

The NFL also issued a memo to all clubs last Thursday, Oct. 1, to reinforce protocols already in place.

The league said they told them, the league does lie to their media partners, so that still doesn't bode well for the Titans.

Just because the players said that doesn't make it true. Even if someone in the organization was told that and didn't inform the players is just as bad if not worse for the organization.

Cancel their season. They are putting the season at risk for everyone else and it’s very obvious it’s a problem specific to the Tennessee Titans.

Whether you agree or not, a rash of infections across the league will shut everything down. Nip this in the bud now and tell the Titans to come back in 2021.

If the game is ruled a forfeit the Bills players won't get paid. Really surprised the NFLPA signed off on that.

That’s a major fail by the PA, but they usually do suck at their job.

Holding that workout was not a smart idea, but the players had no idea several people were positive at that point. It's ridiculous for the league to expect the team to not train for a week and show up on Sunday for a game. If they have to forfeit the Buffalo, sucks but it is what it is. This talk about fines and losing draft picks is ridiculous. The NFL seems to just be making shite up as they go around a problem that everyone saw coming.

They didn’t send that out until after the titans illegal practice so it would be tough to use that punishment after the fact

They sent that out to the management of each team when the season started. It just wasn't mentioned until now. Ask Dennis Lauscha and Greg Bensel of the Saints.
