I wonder if Caratini is going to be moved being that Wilson won't be out long?

I think it’s more of a depth thing with the single trade deadline this year. He seems like the type of guy you would have picked up in August in previous years.

They could plan on having all three catchers on the roster since Caratini can play a little first base to spell Rizzo.

Plus, Willson caught a ridiculous amount of games last year so it may be good to rotate all three to keep him fresh.

Klentak and Phillies need to sell what they can.

Season starts 3-0 vs Braves, then 9-5, 24-16, 33-22, now 49-46. Treading water, but can't spurt...no big win streaks sustainable. Meanwhile Atl has went 28-10 last 38, and Wash is 31-12 last 43 games.

Injured, holes in lineup, allow egregious HRs by staff and pen. Starters sans Nola with inflated ERAs. Pivetta and Velasquez can't take the next step, just flashes of brilliance, and no consistency sans dingers.

Can't catch Atl, don't have as good a staff as Wash. LAD/NYY/Hou/Bost on another level to bother in 2019. TB, Minn, Atl, Cub, etc..better everyday lineups top to bottom, and overall staffs.

Pivetta is such a disappointment. I thought he was going to have a huge year this season. Statistics backed it up but it just didn't happen.

I’m not sure you can keep Houston in the “top rotations” category for now. They have no 4-5. There’s no prospects lined up. The original four is really a perfect long relief guy and he’s hurt. No one seemingly will step up and take the 5.

This pitching staff is in disarray at the moment. Hopefully we hear something sooner than later because if they keep fricking around with this nonsense, they’re going to let Oakland catch them.

So do the Yankees try to trade him once again? Worked the first time

I think the Braves are gonna trade for a starter and maybe one bullpen arm. Right now Teheran would be starting in the playoffs and I’m not very confident in Teheran. It sucks because if Folty was pitching like he did last year this team is a World Series contender. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Braves move on from Folty and trade him for a rental.

Sources: Mike Minor is increasingly likely to be traded in the next two weeks, as I reported a short time ago on

. The #Brewers and #Phillies are among the interested teams, although there’s no indication that a deal is close.

Two teams pretty light on prospects.

No chance Hiura is apart of the deal from the Brewers perspective. I highly doubt they'd give up Turang. Maybe a Tristen Lutz and a lesser piece like Drew Rasmussen, who is pitching well after TJS in college.

Adam Haseley would probably be the headliner for the Phillies with Bohm, Medina, and Howard being off limits.

I'd be PO'd at Klentak if he ships Haseley or any top guys like Bohm.

They are too far away, can't rally for East vs Atl, will not beat LAD for NL. Would get murdered by NYY/Bost/Hou in WS.

Need to be sellers at the deadline.

it will be costly, the WHOLE NL Central needs a starter, with Milwaukee needing at least 2 starters, if not 3.

And with 1 deadline, sellers could thieve teams.
