melting about what? Being in first place with such shitty pitching?

You should crawl back into your "DAT" and cry with you bros about losing a couple ball games.

As a Cub fan Hendricks and Quintana's inconsistency is very concerning. Better was expected and rightfully so. We're 2/3's through the season and it's still going on (the inconsistency).

Darvish is influenced by the criticism of the fans to the point where I don't think he has the sack to step on the mound again this year which is also troubling.

Yet with all that said the Cubs still have the best record in the NL.

If the change of scenery benefits Hamels exit from Texas as much as it has Chavez, I'll feel more confident....we'll see.

I agree. Cubs inconsistency has been a bit baffling. Hendricks has proven he's more than capable though so I would expect him to get it going. Quintana had been great for the last month or so until yesterday. So hopefully it was just a clunker.

I would expect the rotation to be fine come September.

That's my hope, but would love to see it start happening. Kinda played out that way last year when Jake and Hendricks both came on strong late after not so good pre-break numbers.

Q actually looked like he was coming around well of late before his Chatwood imitation yesterday...hoping that was an aberration.

I'll never understand Baltimore, Bach had more value than just international money (250k) I thought

Brach has been awful recently. 7.31 ERA last 19 appearances.

He hasn't had a good season but his FIP shows he has had a little bad luck and still producing ground balls at almost a 50% clip.

I'm just saying I would have thought he could have fetched more.

He can’t be any worse than Sam Freeman or Peter Moylan.

The Orioles defense is awful but it's not bad luck. Buck ran Brach's arm into the ground (think Joe Torre with Scott Proctor) and he's just not an effective pitcher anymore.

Bunch of tweets over past few days and even this morning indicated that if Washington didn’t win at least 3/4 vs Miami this weekend they’d be likely to sell. Well they lost today to split the series so could be an interesting next 48 hours from them

Pretty rough position. They’re only 6 back so I don’t think I’d personally sell but at some point the team is what it is and if 100+ games isn’t a big enough sample size then what is?

Ain't the rumor that the Nats are only selling relievers who are free agents after 2018?
