Arraez to Philly

Will be interesting to see their plan. Does Harper go back to RF? Does Turner, the worst defender in the league statistically, make a move to OF with Stott moving to SS? Does Bohm move to OF? They have to figure out the right combo there. Also interested to see where Arraez lands in the lineup.
I would assume Sosa will be the biggest loser in ABs due to this trade.
A lot of flexibility, but i think this trade gives them more questions than answers in the near term.

Read somewhere that Bohm will move to first & Stott to third. I’m guessing this all but confirms they are moving Bryce to RF?

I sure wish the Cubs would get Webb.

Seems risky to me to move Stott, who plays a gold glove 2B out of the MI. I think Turner is the best candidate to move, but likely that's why I'm not a MLB GM.

Multiple outlets reported Monday that the Phillies plan to use Arraez as their primary second baseman, meaning multiple other everyday players would potentially have to change positions.
Bryson Stott, Philadelphia's current regular second baseman, could shift to third base in a move that could send Alec Bohm to first base and Bryce Harper to the outfield.

That’s what I saw, as well. Seems that Turner to OF would make more sense.

Harper back to the OF for Arraez is something. How many games before he hurts himself out there?

yeah and Arraez is a three time batting champ that hits a ton of singles
so you move your 2B, move your 1B, shuffle everyone around and get a bunch of singles out of it?

I think Arraez is a bit undervalued, but yeah. Seems like a we can’t just do nothing kind of move.

He's the one talking about making moves to get better, and I have no ill will towards him.
We have differing opinions on what is best for baseball moving forward, but coming from his perspective, only makes sense he would feel that way.

Passan: BREAKING: The Seattle Mariners are acquiring outfielder Taylor Ward in a trade with the Baltimore Orioles, sources tell ESPN.

Another OF not going to the Yankees. No one wants their garbage prospects

Are the Mariners gonna move Randy? Or will Randy just DH. Interesting move
Posted on 8/3/26 at 11:40 am to TigerFan91
Is he not already mostly a DH? I’m unfamiliar with their roster construction other than Rob Refsnyder likely at DH against lefties.
Posted on 8/3/26 at 11:57 am to lurking
He’s only DH’d 4 times this year. Maybe Ward will just DH. He’s a slightly better defender but neither are very good

Still perplexes me that people think he's a good player.
