Edman was worth 6.3 WAR just a year ago. And put up 2 more seasons of 3+ WAR before that. I'm not giving up on him.

There will be several power hitting OF's available in free agency. They aren't that hard to find.

Our OF is set though per Mo. No chance they spend where they have a log jam. Zero. If you want an OF it will be next offseason when Walker moves to 1B and RF is open.

O'Neill, Noot, Walker are set though for next year. Carlson and a super util are gone to relieve that log jam.

Donovan is younger, better, and was 3rd in ROY last year. Bye Tommy.

I've run out of patience with O'Neil. It's time to move on. He should have been traded last year. I don't know why Gomez wasn't called up with nothing left to play for.

I like Edman and Donovan. I would deal whichever brought back the most pitching.

Me too but Mo has said several times O'Neill is starting LF next year. Cheap more than anything I'm sure.

I think we only make 1 trade for a starter, and the other 2 are free agents. And I think we sign one of the top starters for sure.

That is nuts. The whole front office other than Flores needs to go.

I hope they sign Snell. But I'm not convinced they'll outspend everyone else to do it.

If only, DeWitt loves him some Mo.

Snell is the main prize for sure and competing with many there.

Lot of good arms beyond him though. Gray, Clevinger, Nola, Monty. Wacha has a mutual with SD (How has he been so good these last 2 years out of nowhere?). Giolito don't want but we always have loved him so I could see it even with him being shite for 2 years.

Matz will get a spot, maybe Hudson too.

The Rangers informed reporters, including Kennedi Landry of MLB.com, that they are promoting outfield prospect Evan Carter. He will take the active roster spot of Adolis García, who will head to the 10-day injured list with a right patellar tendon strain. Carter will require a corresponding move to be added to the 40-man roster, which will be reported on Friday, per Jeff Wilson of Rangers Today.

Why not. Half the team has been on the DL at some point this season.

One player who could be an intriguing fit with the Cardinals and reportedly will be available this offseason is Japanese star Shota Imanaga, according to MLB Network's Jon Morosi.

St. Louis already has scouted Imanaga earlier this season so it certainly would make sense for the starter-needy Cardinals to enter into the free agent sweepstakes. Imanaga has impressed for the BayStars this season and has compiled a 2.57 ERA and tallied 10.5 SO/9 In 20 games so far this season in total.

Paul Goldschmidt has high praise forthe Braves offense:

quote:

“It might go down as the best offense in 100 years,” Goldschmidt said before Thursday’s series finale between the Braves and Cardinals. “I think they’re so consistent, they take their walks, obviously they’re driving the ball. They don’t give away at-bats. Basically, everything you want in a hitter, they almost all do it, and do it throughout the whole game."

“Definitely can put up what they’re doing against probably the top five offenses of all time. That’s very, very impressive.”

Almost everyone on the Braves 1-9 is putting up career or near-career numbers. That offense is truly a sight to behold.

Almost one of those statistical anomalies that makes you wonder.

Aww yeah! Rookie rotation World Series run incoming! Miller, Pepiot and Sheehan gonna take em all the way!

I mean hell, this wasn't supposed to be the Dodgers year anyway according to all the talking heads. Why not give the kids a chance and just enjoy it?!

If i was Cardinals, i make a move for Robert/Sox starter

You have pieces to get it done, and you get a legit 35-40HR Outfielder. He's still only 26. They and sox were only bidders for Robert, and BDW jr, under bid, being a cheap arse. Make up for that cheapness.

Now you have robert, walker, nootbar in of And you get a #3 starter. then make a free agent move for starter, and deal for another. plenty of pieces. you(cardinals) have proven you cant develop starters, so trade for them.

Get 1 or 2 25/26 year old established starters. Minnesota has several 25/26 year old developing starters, trade for one. hence, gercefo, etc should be used as trade pieces, before mo'ron and company ruin them and they are borderline bullpen arms.

Once done, deal some of the of depth, infield depth for bullpen help.

I have zero faith Mo'ron will do anything, but make dumb moves and shite signings. I could see him giving up a top50 pick, to sign a 33 year old sonny gray via free agency

needs 3 starters sign montgomery, trade for a starter, sign or deal for #1 or #2 rotation guy.

clean up OF, by dealing for robert

Clean up garbage bullpen by moving depth for arms.
