DeJong goes down again whiffing as the Giants are down to their last 2 outs.

Reds with an epic comeback tonight, down 5-1 to Mariners at one point. Walked it off in the bottom of the 9th 7-6.

Garcia just got injured leaping the wall. Scherzer has already given up 2 HRs. I’m melting.

This Rangers late season meltdown will go down in baseball lore at this rate...

Winn hits his first big league homer. Strider getting lit up.

This team is done. Not a chance in hell they are making the playoffs now.

The teams I bleed for, LSU/Saints/Rangers, will drive a man insane.

Didn't they blow a big division lead in 2012 too?

I love Gorman so much. Another bomb.

Dude is 23 and at a 45 HR pace rookieish year as a second baseman.

Thank God the future is bright.

I like him. But don't think he should be untouchable if the right pitcher was available.

I wouldn't trade our HR leader for a pitcher. With 120 less AB's than Goldy or Arenado at that.

Not sure you realize how good a year he is having in what is basically his rookie year.

Especially with Walker going back to 1B for Goldy after next year. Arenado (32), Winn (21), Gorman (23), Walker (21) has our IF set for many years.

2B in Cardinals franchise history with at least 24 HR and 70+ rbi in a single season (minimum 60 games started at 2B):

Rogers Hornsby (1922, 1924, 1925)
Nolan Gorman (2023)

Nolan Gorman needs 3 Home Runs to become the 2nd 2B under the age of 25 to hit 30 in a season

Why is it so hard to find WAR by position?

I just want to know where Willson Contreras is among all catchers in WAR and I cannot find it.

He's hitting .233 with 2.1 WAR. That's not someone who is untouchable to me. He's just 23. So he could develop into something more.

Average is pretty irrelevant today in baseball.

Only Mookie Betts has more HR's per AB of all 2B in baseball. That's untouchable.
