Ankiel though had 2 good seasons and then came back I think he's definitely lived to his hype. Wohlers was much worse case of yips IMO

Who was the guy from 5 or so years back who came into the league tearing shite up? His rookie card was selling for $1,000+ on eBay and people were all over his nuts making ridiculous comparisons early on.

Sounds kinda like xavier nady. But that was over 5 years ago. He was supposed to be a hall of famer.

And that was how many years after returning?

It's not like he busted returned and busted again

I was just stating the fact of his current situation. The defensiveness of your argument is quite transparent, though. Are you his agent?

In other news, wasn't B.J. Wallace picked ahead of Derek Jeter in '92? Allons Expos!

David Clyde is the Rangers guy from the 70's.

CHad Hutchinson was drafted in the first round by the Cards and posted a 24.75 ERA before he went and sucked playing QB for the cowboys, wasn't really hyped though but he was out of Stanford so his poo did not stink.

and the Rangers in the 90's had some Hispanic OF whose name began with an M who was hyped as the next coming for about 3 years while he was in the minors but never did anything

Matt White was certainly not worth $10 million coming straight out of high school.

Except hit .300 the last three years while playing gold glove defense in the outfield.

Seriously?

He's a 2 time gold glove winner. Possibly an all-star this year. Yes, it did take him a while to come around but he's a good left fielder that hits for average and has power. And he's only 29.
