I mentioned him earlier. He was a guy that jumped straight to the majors, had several injuries and never could stay healthy long enough to stick with one team. I think he even had tommy john..

That's probably your winner. Golden Spike Award winner and never made the Bigs retiring 4 years after being named the Nation's Top Amateur player.

That list of Golden Spike winners made me remember Mark Kotsay...from Fullerton. Remember watching him play in the CWS and he was going to tear up the majors...

I guess. But his draft hype was hall of fame talk... He never came close to that.
