It’s nice to see that the Padres no longer want to be bottom feeders

Maybe the Padres will let him continue to pitch when he is dominant on the mound.

Damn. Which one of these prospects is the next Ray superstar out of nowhere?

It’s weird being a Rays fan. From losing 94 games a few years ago to winning the pennant this year, it’s always an interesting ride especially competing with the Yankees and Red Sox every year.

Every offseason is frustrating, but I have learned to trust the front office. I couldn’t believe we traded Tommy Pham last offseason, but everything worked out.

I will honestly miss Morton more than Snell. Morton was so consistent. Snell is very very talented as the whole world saw Game 6. But that was the best game Snell pitched in the last two years. Snell can be frustrating because it seems he wastes a lot of pitches when he gets ahead in the count, and it drives up his pitch count. During the last 2 years, it always seemed he was hitting 90-100 pitches after 5 innings. Rays management probably figured his stock would never be higher after Game 6.

It'll be interesting to see what Randy does going forward for sure. But I meant this trade.

Still super excited about Liberatore btw. That trade still has a couple years before it's decided.

Patino would easily be the best bet, although I don't know if he would be out of nowhere for people who follow prospects

Now they're closing in on Darvish as well. Padres ain't messing around. Clevinger is out for next season, but 2022 could have Darvish-Snell-Clevinger-Lamet-Paddack (likely MacKenzie Gore takes Paddack's spot by that point)
