If you have an interest in going to Seattle, I would say go. My wife and I went there about 3 years ago. She is badly handicapped now (RA since she was 13 -- we are in our mid-50's now -- she's in a chair now). We went and enjoyed it including Pikes Place. If you really have a good reason to not go, then I get it. But if you do want to go, then go check it out.

If you can drop politics for a day (my wife works in policy politics -- not partisan -- and I am open minded but mostly conservative), it could be worth it. But I get it, some things are painful and irritating to see. Never stress yourself out if you don't have to No judgment from me.

Big cities don't intimidate me and I have seen the painful and irritating and sad things (and people). I've ridden the NYC subway and lived to tell the tale LOL.

The main issue with Pike Place is the walking, we're about a decade and some change older than y'all and my wife isn't in a chair but has horrible knees. She also is on some medication for a chronic blood condition that makes being outdoors for extended periods of time if it's sunny problematic.

We'll just have to see how it goes. It's pretty much an hour and a half drive to get into town from Everett. There is a rail line but then you get into having to get taxis or Ubers to get to where you want to go.

Honestly, the area where we go, up above town, is so stunningly beautiful and we haven't done half the things there are to do up that way, because the primary objective of the trip is to spend time with family. It's a little tough with this set of grandkids being 2,500 miles away.

Apologies for the long post here.

I was 6 years old in 1982. My dad took my brother and I to every postseason game in Milwaukee in 1982. It was a 3 hour drive. Go to those games, drive back home was 3 hours, he’d drag our asses out of bed a couple of hours later so we could milk cows before we went to school.

I’m still salty about 1982. I refuse to drink any Busch product because 6 year old me still wants to piss on Darrell Porter’s grave. At my wedding I had them remove any/all Busch products from the reception hall because of how irritated I was and still am.

Outside of my own immediate family the voice I heard growing up the most was Bob Uecker. So many years of really bad baseball but it didn’t matter. You got to listen to Ueck. So many of us heard Bob Uecker talk to us more than anyone else.

My dad passed away last May. He talked fondly about the 1950’s Milwaukee Braves teams and as a result I always had the Braves as my NL team when the crew was in the AL. I still can’t despise them because above everything else I might’ve hated the Cardinals more than Osama Bin Laden all because of 1982.

Uecker leaves us and it was emotionally hard listening to Brewers games. My dad left us and the Crew provided some enjoyment. When Jack Jack caught that final out I sobbed more than I did at my dad’s funeral a few months ago.

To the Dodgers, Yankees, Cardinals, or Red Sox it’s just another fall classic, To those of us who don’t get to experience this every handful of years it hits on a pre motional level, I’ve seen two Packer Super Bowls. The first was incredible but the NFL is just different. A Super Bowl can happen anywhere. A World Series cannot be taken for granted outside of a few places.

Wisconsin is known for its drinking habits. We already had a penchant for drinking that baffles the rest of the country, it’s a bit beyond that tonight. Four more wins to go. Get those four wins and this state will be drunk even by Wisconsin standards.

Cash has Simpson batting third and junior batting clean up

Odd spot for Simpson

Junior looked like someone in the midst of a 20 game hitless streak the way he was forcing things at the plate last game. He hasn’t hit any bombs in the postseason yet, but he hasn’t been playing poorly. It was weird

Maybe hes playing a hunch but i doubt it given its Tampa who plays it hard by the numbers and matchups.

I think Simpson has batted everywhere in the lineup except 2, 3 and 4

I’m not sure the last time junior was in a spot other than 3, and he started every game this year

How curious

Welp postponed game.

This helps Cleveland. Almost like God wants a Brewers / Indians World Series like we all deserve

PPD!! What a kick in the ballsack. The teams will now play a potential 4 straight games if necessary.

I know most including myself want Indians vs Brewers, but then it gets troublesome

Brewers are the better team and their dedicated diehards deserve a championship, but the Indians faithful have waited even longer IIRC

And they had that heartbreaker 10 years ago too. I’m conflicted

1948 for Cleveland. Brewers never but franchise began there in 1970. Milwaukee Braves won their only WS in 1957.
