I saw this happen today in a 10U game in Lafayette, umpire said he was tired of the parents bullshite and rolled out lol.

I've had to step it before for rec games when I go watch when we're not playing.
There was a small end year tournament they called me out of the stands to help.
Everyone pretty much knew or has seen me coach there for last 5 years or so and they still gave me a ration of shite. In a coach pitch league...
So many parents get so wrapped up you think it's all they have in life. Maybe it is.
They need Jesus.

Any umpire that thinks he's too good to ask for help when that's part of the game (especially when there's only two umpires for a high school game) doesn't need to be umpiring. Assholes like him ruin the game.

I know someone on the UNO team. According to him he's generally a good ump and MVSU was arguing every pitch and every call all night. Ump got fed up, the batter got stupid after the 2nd strike, ump lost his cool and basically said frick you on that call.
Doesn't excuse the call, but there was way more to it than "batter was pissed a ball was called bad so ump retaliated next pitch".

If he’s out of line you eject him. You don’t get to ruin the integrity of the game because your feelings are hurt. Call it fair or don’t do it at all.

The question was whether he offered at the pitch via bunt, right? I always thought that was the umpire behind the plate’s call. It wasn’t a check-swing.

Arkansas HS football is generally $110-$150 depending on the conference. The lower levels obviously pay less and that’s usually where you take the most abuse. Not saying this guy should’ve walked off in the middle of a game but when you start figuring the hourly rate compared to expenses and one’s tolerance for bullshite I get it.

Georgia high school football is $110 across all classifications in the regular season. $125 for the first 3 rounds of the playoffs and $150 for the semis/finals.
