That would be the ultimate insult to Jon "The Moron" Daniels: the team that beat* you in the 2011 World Series hires the manager YOU fired that was the manager who got your sorry franchise there in the first place.

I am not a fan of the Cards, but I must say they won like 17 straight near the end to surprise many and make the playoffs. Then the Cards gave the Dodgers a very close game, losing to the defending champions in extra innings.
So was he penalized because the Red Birds got so far behind in the standings that it took such a red hot finish to even make those playoffs?
