Mike Leach apologizes for 'offensive' Twitter post

The picture depicted an elderly woman with knitting sticks in her hands. The caption said, "After 2 weeks of quarantine with her husband, Gertrude decided to knit him a scarf.."
The lady was not knitting a scarf, but rather a noose. The hangman's knot was already tied. Multiple Mississippi State football players and a Mississippi State University professor took exception to the tweet, which has been deleted from Leach's account.

He’s not that smart
It doesn’t matter what the reality is, the perception is he’s a far right nutjob and he’s incapable of doing anything to dispel that. He’s going to get just trounced in recruiting and be fired within 2-3 years.

I don't think Leach's original tweet had racial intent.
That said, I'd bet good money if people start taking this guy up, some of the tweets and DM's to these players will have a racial edge.
