Who says that?

Mike is right. He knows that life is about the journey. Not the destination. This is why guys like Dame Lillard say he would rather not win a title at all than have to leave and form a super team. It’s not all about the title. If it was we would want Lebron in Houston next year. but like Lebron in Houston and Lillard leaving to make a super the title wouldn’t mean as much bc the journey to get it would be meh.
I legit lol’d hard. Thank you for that. Troll or not this is comedic gold.

I've had this feeling that the Rockets are a regular season team all year.
They haven't had to face much adversity this year. Harden and CP3 don't exactly have a stellar record in the playoffs when faced with a little adversity. We shall see..

If Houston can’t win it this year...man. Pretty much everything they could hope for has happened outside of CP3 missing time early on.

They rank 9th in pace in the first half and 14th in pace overall.
They’re not running teams out of the gym.

Damian never said that he wouldn’t allow players to come play with him. He said he is not leaving Portland to make a super team. Big difference
You're the only one that thinks there's a difference.

im gonna be really torn who i root for in the houston vs cleveland finals.

I mean, 9th is pretty high. And whatever they do with their big leads in the 2nd half bumps them back to 14th overall.
I'm gonna eat this W

Mike D'Antoni
As player:
2× EuroLeague champion (1987, 1988)
5× LBA champion (1982, 1985–1987, 1989)
2× Italian Cup winner (1986, 1987)
Korac Cup champion (1985)
FIBA Intercontinental Cup champion (1987)
As coach:
Italian Cup winner (1995)
Italian Supercup winner (2001)
Saporta Cup champion (1995)
Korac Cup champion (1993)
This guy only knows winning championships.

quote:The only reason their pace is even 14th is because they played faster during the first half of the season.
I mean, 9th is pretty high. And whatever they do with their big leads in the 2nd half bumps them back to 14th overall.
Over their last 40 games, they rank 25th in pace. 19th in pace in the first half.
So your original point of...
quote:
Rockets just use up-tempo that other teams don't want to deal with
and
quote:
I have a feeling that's because y'all get big leads against tanking teams and the 4th quarter is slowed down.
...is just not true.
They do slow down a bit in the second half. And whether it's because they have big leads and slow it down or it's another reason, that's up for debate and analysis.
But your assertion that they play at a high pace is not up for debate. It's simply false.
So in light of my testimony, I will accept the W.

God that is such a "houston" quote from Coach Pringles

Seriously. This is the year for them to make noise if they're going to make it with this group. Warriors look halfway mortal, the Spurs aren't the Spurs this year, and the east doesn't have a worthy foe for them.

As much as when the similar question was posed to pop and he said winning a title wasn’t one of his priorities.
Posted on 4/11/18 at 12:13 pm to Boomshockalocka
Yeah and I took Pop to task for that dumbassery, too.
At least Pop has actual championship laurels upon which to rest, though. The same sentiment coming from Pringles is hilarious

Not going to look it up, but I think Pop may have more NBA titles than Mike and therefore obviously they wouldn't be a priority for him.

They have the best record which means NOTHING if you don’t win it all......
