That doesn't apply to our discussion.

I thought we were talking about a situation where Lillard is on a team that clearly cannot compete with the top teams, yet he stays because he's "too competitive" to go elsewhere and have a better chance at winning.

Like I said, to me that sounds like someone that's just doing this for his ego and doesn't feel any deep need to add to his legacy. I think the most competitive players are ultimately selfless.

All of those reasons you said he would stay, for the fans, his teammates, is so they revere HIM.

Everyone is book marking this in case Lebron goes to Houston. We all know you will be running your cock sucker off nonstop about how good the team is then. I fricking hate you. A stranger on the internet has driven me to hate. The only sadness is that the gorilla rustled jimmies gif isn't still popular and would get posted to me. You're terrible.

I will never pull for a super team. If Lebron goes to Houston I will drop them in a second. Lucky for me he is not going to Houston.

what a fair weather fan! I mean really, who would want lebron james on their team? I guess a team who hates winning maybe?

I’d rather not win than win the wrong way. Like Dame. Ie have to resort to a super team. It would be nothing more than Lebron using my sqaud as a vessel for his feeble attempts to catch Jordan. Coming to hop on what Harden has worked for and claim it as his own. Houston is hardens franchise.

so houston adding one of the best pg of all time this year isnt the same thing? I mean if houston finally wins it.. that means they had to resort to adding one of the best pg ever to do it.

You can’t see the difference between addding

Chris Paul to a team of James and role players

V

Lebron to a team of James AND Chris and role players

Come on. One of them is way overboard and spits in the face of the spirit of competition.

Lillard is not an all-time great player. He'll be a notable player of this era but no one's going to be talking about him in 20 years.

He can't make a super team, that is, recruit others to play for him. A better player decides that they want him for their super team. If he says he doesn't want to be part of that, then good for him but that's not competitiveness, that's him wanting to be a big fish in a smaller pond.

Everyone wants a ring eventually though. Lillard is saying what he's saying now but I bet anything once his skills begin to degrade after years of being on the second round treadmill, he'll then go to try to get his championship with another team.

Lulls look what I just came across

quote:

This narrative that if you don’t win a championship then it’s not worth competing, that’s a false premise,” general manager Neil Olshey says. “There’s got to be an intrinsic joy of watching your team play well and compete. If it’s just about the end result and not about the journey, then what’s the point?”

quote:

“People are trying to figure out how we’ve done it,” Olshey says. “A lot of it is the team bonding and jelling. But it really has been Dame knowing what we need out of each guy and getting into their psyche and empowering them to be a little bette

quote:

“At some point the gravitas that he has, the leadership ability, he’s going to be able to add more in the locker room and the organization so that we’re going to be able to accelerate this rebuild,” Olshey says. “Not because of who he can attract to the market, but how he can elevate the guys around him.

Keep moving those goal posts.
I’m not moving the goalposts. His thesis was that the Rockets are a regular season team because they play fast. I pointed out that they don’t play fast, and haven’t even played moderately fast in the past 40 games.

So his thesis is incorrect.

quote:

You yourself said they were 9th for the season that's the number in question and that is high.
No, I said they were 9th IN THE FIRST AND SECOND PERIOD of individual games.

They were 14th overall for the season. That is not high at all.

quote:

Doesn't work that way. Your testimony is what proved you were wrong. And then tried to back it up with the subjective eyeball test. Lol
Your reading comprehension and logic failed you, and I will keep the W.
