638 consecutive games played in the NBA and 116 games at Villanova. Dude won a championship at Nova and now with the Knicks. Impressive

Much respect to that. Having to endure a franchise that tries to build around a bum Zion that plays 45% of his games, I can appreciate that level of taking care of your body.

As a professional sometimes the best ability is availability.

In the "load management" era that is remarkable, really.

It seems selfish to play EVERY game and not rest a few if it helps this time of year, but the Knicks’ mindset won them this championship and Bridges was a big part

Dudes are in great shape, they dont need nights off. If its 40 year old lebron maybe. Anybody under 30 has no excuse.

Just play them less minutes maybe

He did. He had a fake game where he was hurt and the Knicks played him for a minute or so to count it.

Have to respect the Knicks culture relative to the rest of the NBA. I didn’t think it was possible for KAT to change his approach but it’s happened and now he’s a champion. You look at guys like Bridges, who they should’ve drafted BTW, guys like OG, Hart and Robinson and there’s definitely a type for the nucleus that is the opposite of most NBA rosters.

My thing, following Mitch’s career, is that all these guys don’t really care if they’re starting or on the bench, and that’s not the case for every team. The Knicks constructed a group that has generated remarkably little drama (no small feat in NY), and everyone has stayed healthy and ready to step up each game…

Also remarkably, this has been the case through two different coaches

It’s an unusual connection. You’ve got the Villanova guys who all played and won titles together with their leader having his father on staff so that’s a tight nit group. Brunson and Hart were 4 year college guys, Bridges played 3, even OG was a multi year player for a big program that made it to the Sweet 16 so they’re tethered to the old college, team model where you’re together with teammates for years. With Robinson, like you I’ve been a fan and pulled for him since HS. Have to give the Knicks credit for drafting him, seeing his potential and making the decision to keep him instead of Hartenstein. They’ve stuck with him and they were right to. He’s such a unique player, his combination of size, ability to move, hands, shot blocking and rebounding is unequaled imo. You have guys who can do some of those things at around his size, you have guys who can do most of them at a smaller size but I’m not sure anyone at his size does all the things he does.

I know he's more of a role player. But to accomplish this feat in today's age. I say he should get in the HOF off of that alone.

Something about that dude makes him the quintessential pro basketball player.

What a warrior.

Stockton ain’t no bitch either. He only missed 22 regular season games in 19 season (one year was the 50 game lockout year)

He comes to the Pelicans and he's gonna be out the year

Even as a 3rd option he's still playing 30+mpg that's impressive to even avoid a stupid injury

Plus he says he has eaten Chipotle everyday for over a decade. Sounds like the guy is good with being consistent (which is hard to do).

I'm still mad to this day that the Sixers drafted him and traded him to the Suns for Zhaire Smith.
A guy that broke his foot in training camp, and almost died after eating Thai Chicken because he's allergic to sesame. and peanuts And when he did play, he did frick all for us. He's not even in the league anymore.

Bridges was a hometown kid, and his mom even worked for the Sixers.
