It sounds like if the Michigan schools want to perform well in football and basketball they need to step up the funding.

Is it disappointing for the college fans that a player on your team can essentially negotiate a "free agent" deal to leave anytime? Yep. But that's the reality of the current environment. So you either keep up or get left behind.

Well, yeah. This shouldn't be a news story.

This is a perfect use of the phrase, "don't hate the player, hate the game".

$10,000 might not move the needle but he is right.

If I was making $30k then $10k would move the needle though.

Let's be honest. College sports are professional athletes now. They make more money than most working people doing 8 hours a day 5 days a week.

Thorne was also not named the starter coming out of spring practice. He had a down year last year. It's not like Auburn is getting C.J. Stroud.

This is especially true for college ball now. Bronny James just needs a 2.0 taking 12 easy credits in the Fall semester. He can fail all his spring classes since you don't officially flunk out until grades are turned in at the end of the semester.

"I got less than 6 figures for a year at Michigan."

I still can't believe there are idiots that give away this type of money to literally who's.

Never even heard of this guy.

They’re not “whos” if that’s the team you watch though
