Mets GM: I think Tebow will play in the Majors

i mean he is the second coming, if he only settles on being a major leaguer it would be a disappointment. i fully expect him to win the presidency in like 8 years

Sure publicity stunt. I would have to see his OPS, but unless he has insane doubles power or a crazy walk rate that low BA is brutal for the minors.

OPS was .664 with St Lucie. He improved by 20 points over his OPS in low A earlier in the season. He was significantly better than he was in fall ball the year before. He's gotten better, but the Mets obviously wouldn't put this much effort into a 30 year old if it wasn't Tebow.

In the video I saw yesterday, he looked a lot smaller and more flexible. His swing was light years better than at his tryout. A lot more fluid, not so much Hulk Smash.
