Austin FC would be at the top of the list.

Miami plays USL team Birmingham Legion in Bham tonight in US Open Cup play. Would Messi theoretically sell out Protective Stadium? I think it would be close.

Implying anyone but an east or west coast team would be at the top is asinine.

This will lead to team ownership for Messi and this

Apple and Adidas are also involved in the Inter Miami deal, wherein part of the deal includes Messi earning a share of Apple's revenue generated by the MLS Season Pass. Adidas is also offering Messi a share of their profits resulting from his arrival in the MLS. @TheAthleticFC

MLS needs to do everything that they possibly can in order to bring in Messi.

It's wild how much they are paying. Benzema signed a deal to receive $107 million tax free annual salary for 3 years. Ronaldo is bringing in a reported $215 million annual salary but those figures still haven't been confirmed, wouldnt be surprised if it was higher.

Messi’s commitment to avoiding speaking a word of English his whole career has been impressive but probably ends now even in miami.

Looks like its confirmed hes going to the MLS..

Probably the biggest free agent acquisition of all time in any sport..not what it does for the team but the entire league

For context is this Jordan to the wizards type or is Messi on the backend but still top class like a verlander to the Astros kind of deal.

Feels like MLS has had a few of these (Beckham etc) but it doesn’t turn into much

Messi and Argentina just won the World Cup.

Messi is in better shape then when Beckham starred in MLS, this is really really huge for MLS.

Lol at how the MLS forces names like "Inter Miami" and "Sporting KC".

Little know fact - this is the origin of SirWinston's "British" personna - mocking overly sincere American soccer fans who adopt British terms and vernacular.
