The same Hoge that sued a Chicago physician for 1.5 mill (iirc) because he wasn’t given an adequate warning about the dangers of concussions? Lol

concussions and CTE arent the same thing tho. he stopped breathing IIRC because of having 2 concussions so close together

I realize that. That really doesn’t change the fact that he sued because he felt the warning wasn’t severe enough.

It is just humorous that now that physicians ARE giving a warning he is on the opposite stance.

It is akin to someone ridiculing the long list of side effects in drug commercials suing because X wasn’t detailed enough.

Finally the pendulum starts to swing on this issue. It's time to show that the CTEmperor has no clothes and get back to big boy football.

Or Junior was just crazy. One of the two.

And probably wasn't the 1st time he attempted suicide.

quote:

Former Chargers star Junior Seau drove his SUV off a 30-foot coastal bluff in Carlsbad and was hospitalized with minor injuries Monday morning, hours after being jailed for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.

Seau, a 12-time Pro Bowl linebacker, told police at the hospital that the one-car crash happened when he became sleepy.

So easy to blame CTE and make people victims when in reality, things are far more complex.

I look forward to reading Dr. Hoge's clinical revelations.

Has more credibility than this guy...who's been shoving
the CTE narrative down our throats for years and hasn't even attempted to look at any other perspective on the subject.

I thought Hoge passed away in a Windsor accident a while back.

Wasn’t it neck issues not concussions?

A better man the Hodge shot himself in the chest because he was in so much pain that he wanted doctors to study his brain.

That can’t be said enough.
It says nothing, absolutely nothing. Thousands of depressed people are in pain and kill themselves annually.

I remember Hodge telling a story about leaving home in his car and either, couldn't remember why he left, or couldn't remember how to get back home. He's memory was all kinds of screwed up. Not sure what his motives are behind this book but he's probably not being honest.

I've said it before. CTE is proven but I don't think it's due to hits in football games. I think it's that crazy that you need to be a great football player
Pretty obvious you don’t even know the definition of CTE.

So CTE is the climate change of the sports world. Normal people know the true and see the science as true. Then you have the Hodges if the world fighting against facts.

I remember Hoge suing (and winning) a doctor for not informing him about the possibility of brain damage from concussions he's suffered playing football.

Good, maybe nincompoops will actually grow a brain and intellectually comprehend football's an inherently dangerous game not to mention these players are paid millions of dollars per annum to play a game compared to other less dangerous professions where they're paid 5-6 figures per annum, have a reasonable inclination the inherent danger of these types of professional sports next to their insane popularity in terms of entertainment factors into those massive compensation amounts

Yeah, I was going to say this, but Hoge's premise is even more ridiculous. It would be like a guy who had received millions in a lawsuit from BP or Exxon then becoming a climate change denier.
