Not sure how this is funny? It’s the truth. It’s not in any way going to keep him, but it is the truth

No such thing as locking a coach in.

Yep watching the press conference live. They are straight up with us about everything. It’s refreshing

Congratulations Will Wade

I think Wade is content to stay in LC for another year if the right job doesn't present itself. And I don't think the "right job" is with another mid-major type program.
Surveying the college basketball landscape it appears the following jobs either are or likely to become open:
Louisville
Oklahoma St
West Virginia
DePaul
Vanderbilt
Washington
These MAY become available:
Michigan
Ohio St.
Stanford
Pittsburgh
Clemson
Florida St.
Louisville will aim higher than Wade. West Virginia probably isn't all that attractive. Vanderbilt isn't either, but Nashville is home for Wade. DePaul seemingly should be better with its location in Chicago...but it hasn't been for a long time now. I think Oklahoma St. would be a good spot because they have tradition, support, and some degree of money. But it might not be the "right" spot.

I would move Ohio State to the likely category with Bjork in charge soon.

West virgina has been a top 30-40 program this century. I think that’s a job he’d listen to if open

If Louisville thinking they are too good for Will Wade, that is the funniest thing I’ve heard today

Is Will the type to bang a waitress in an Italian restaurant and facilitate strippers into the dorms?

I heard McNeese was down to like 5,500 students.
Google says 5,700. Looks like that is down from a peak of around 7800 (as of 2010, couldn’t find more recent data in quick search).

yeah the hurricanes wrecked LC and McNeese.
Im just saying football was and is king at McNeese and wont pony up for money and dont have the money to buyout their coach.

True, but what happens if Ohio State backs up the Brinks truck for him. $1M is nothing.
To Ohio State it is nothing.
To McNeese State it is a lot. That is the point. They know Wade won't stay at McNeese for the rest of his career, so why not raise the buyout so him leaving would at least still get money into a program that desperately needs it.

McNeese and SELA baseball and McNeese softball would be an attractive add for someone like the Sun Belt. They might be semi-competitive in basketball and the other minor sports would be lagniappe.
The Sun Belt won’t have two teams in 3-5A

I don't disagree. But they kind of hit the coaching lottery with, first, John Beilein, then, alum, Bob Huggins.

Huggins's performance was kind of trailing off towards the end of his time there. Plus, I think first and foremost Wade is going to want a landing spot where he knows he can get big time NIL resources. Is that WVU? I'm not sure.
I think a place like Oklahoma St. would provide more "juice" in that department. Louisville would be a no brainer. But I think they are going to aim higher...at least initially.

The bigger question is can he do it before the shot clock expires like Pitino?

And McNeese finally has an AD that will go out and shake them. This AD has been a fundraising machine. Not on LSU's level but pretty damn good for our level.

I’d imagine it is Will Wades goal to coach at his Alma Mater at Clemson.
