Max Kellerman: NFL Ratings Are Down Because College Football is Superior

Kellerman makes three points in this video on why college football is better than the NFL.
1. College football teams are different from each other. Last weekend, Miami's speed destroyed Notre Dame's power, Oklahoma won in a shootout and Wisconsin grind out another win to stay undefeated. In the NFL, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference from one team to another if the uniforms weren't different.
2. Injuries have hurt the quality of the NFL. Too many good players are not playing due to injuries.
3. Stakes are much higher in college football. Miami, Auburn and Oklahoma were playing to stay alive in the CFP race. There isn't a single game in the NFL where teams can't recover from a loss. The four-team playoff is a perfect system and allows for consequential games every single weekend,

CFB is much more exciting and always has been

I prefer college football, but it has nothing to do with why NFL ratings are down.

Nah. CFB games are waaaaay too long currently.

All 3 of those points have always been in play, so why would it just be taking effect now?

2 is definitely right.

I'd like to think I could recognize a Blake Bortles pass from everyone else, but I'd be up to the challenge.

Click bait. Kellerman probably doesn't even watch CFB

Max attempting to troll and trigger people per usual all while using bloviating language and reaching to sound smart, his MO since he's been on First Take

Don’t know how people watch shows like First Take or the Skip versions. Just predictable blow hard takes and screaming at the camera

Exactly. I like how people keep pretending most of those examples weren’t still prevalent 10-15 years ago. Give me a fricking break. There were still garbage teams and star players getting hurt at the peak of the NFL. That isn’t something that suddenly happened last year.

Well the NFL doesn't rely on 13 people hidden in a room to determine who goes to the playoffs.
They got that part right at least.
That and league controlled scheduling.

NFL games actually run about 3 hours. It's incredible.
I've always liked cfb more but I will always enjoy NFL. People hate Goodell and all the non-football related shenanigans.

Yep.
And his posse is in tow tonight. Dancing!
Pretty simple stuff here:
1) CFB regular season is great
2) NFL postseason is beyond great
Enough said

The problem with this theory is all of that has been true for a long time. Why are ratings just now going down if that is the cause?
I prefer CFB by the way.
