Is it so different than Pat Riley retiring 23?

Sir, you have a tight to your opinion. I also feel that the love fest for all pro athletes over shadows their faults including criminal acts. Not saying death was deserving but if Kobe was a janitor and not a money making enterprise..... not too make people would be SAD.

Would Mark have retired his jersey if he had not passed away? IDK

It doesn't really make it an overreaction for Cuban to retire his Jersey.

This is just Mark respecting a good friend and a competitor that he respected. How is that an overreaction?

By their own teams, yes. But Not by the entire league.

This is beyond stupid. It’s self-serving and rash and attention-seeking. But since it involves Mark Cuban, that explains everything.

He knows

He is someone that can show you the depths of how awful human beings are. Imagine thinking it is kosher to make fun of someone who was raped as a child? Seriously, who the frick does that shite?

All those guys are still around, so they can continue their own legacy.

The game will miss Kobe Bryant. He deserves to be remembered

This thread is shite.

What happened to Jody was horrible and should never happen to anyone but trying to equate that in any way to what happened in Colorado misses the mark imo.

I too have read the documents and police statements and no one knows what really happened in that hotel room except Kobe and the woman. There were a couple issues with her story as well for me so I'm not going to castigate him over what's essentially a he said she said situation.

Every human is capable of redemption and even if Kobe did 100% of what was alleged I believe he has done a lot to earn some redemption. At least enough to not be shitting on him on the day he died.
