Just pointing out he still played pretty poorly today. Or do you all disagree that a 73 with 2 doubles is playing poorly for Rory?

He had to play extra golf and go into a playoff and still won

Because he was so clearly fricking shook coming down the stretch

I wouldn't to be surprised to see him reel off multiple majors the next 5 years.

Me either now. But if he would have lost today with a collapse that epic, I don’t know how he could have continued on

This is, without a doubt, one of the most retarded takes that has been seen in quite some time.

Okay, but he didn’t. He won.

He won the Masters. He held it together under ungodly pressure.

He’s a Grand Slam winner and a legendary golfer.

Deal with it.

Who the frick cares.. you are in the final pairing for one reason. To win the tourney. I’m not there to be friends with you. If people don’t like Rory for not talking during the final round of the masters they know ZERO about golf and are very weak minded.

What do you call that shot on 13, the drive on 14, the putt on 15, the putt on 18?

He was nervous as frick, which has cost him in the past. I don’t see the point in refusing to admit that. He won, if winning today frees him up from those feelings he could pick off a lot more majors. If it didn’t and he still gets that affected by the pressure, he may go another decade without winning another one or may never win another one again. We’ll see, it’s going to be fascinating either way, I can’t wait to watch

It's pretty obvious him winning is bothering you. There is zero reason for you to be pointing out negative things that happened throughout the day. So immature.

He did and he didn’t, several times each in like 90 minutes, it was fricking wild!

Again, barely. 2 over in the final 6 holes with a 4 or 5 shot lead.

He was already legendary. No one denies his talent.

I feel like I’m handling it better than a lot of you. Y’all are mad that a random poster isn’t worshipping at his feet like you seem to want.

It’s not negative, it’s reality. I can’t wait to see what he does going forward. I thought those demons would haunt him the rest of his career, they very clearly did today, and he still got it done.

Does that lift the demons and he goes on a run that clearly puts him at third of better in the history of the game? Or do the nerves still affect him, A LOT, like they did today and have done several times in the past and he ends up with maybe no more majors?

Because fans don’t do this when their rooting interest loses in every other sport we watch, right?

He made a birdie in a sudden death playoff hole to win the masters and complete the career grand slam

No demons exercised though

This win is bothering the ever living shite out of you

Not at all. More of the agenda to discredit the guy, who seems to be a legit ambassador of the game, despite some of his edgy vocalisms and emotions.

He keeps pushing himself to be the best.

The real question now is has he conquered that demon going forward where he can close another one
another question is whether he is gonna want another one as much as he wanted this one. I feel 50/50 on whether this frees him to win a lot more, or if he's so relieved that he doesn't have the drive to work as hard as he has to accomplish what he just did.

What’s so weird is I’m sitting here saying I think the guy may end up with like 10,11,12 majors and be in the tier that only two people in the history of the game have achieved.

And I’m being “negative”

They’re sitting here denying he was nervous coming down the stretch when he hit like 10 horrible shots in the last 6 holes. To his credit, he hit 4 or 5 that were fricking nails that kept him in it. But that ain’t a sustainable model to keep picking off majors

Maybe, maybe not. Nobody will know, I suspect even the man himself, until he’s there again

I’ll say it for like the dozenth time, today was probably the most epic sporting event of my lifetime. The only thing I’m upset about is that it’s over
