And many of them were MUCH more diplomatic or answered without saying anything. Rory went out of his way to give his opinion and then waffled back and forth a half dozen times.

And Rory shat all over his Ryder Cup brethen, the heart and soul of the Eurpean Ryder Cup dominance for the last 15 years (Sergio, Westwood, Poulter, Stenson). I lost a lot of respect for Rory over those comments.

But I can't help but be happy for him today after what he has accomplished.

agree here. LIV is dirty pool. Rory stood his ground as did other players. Good for them

Did Rory really stand his ground? As soon as the merger came out he was in favor of LIV. It’s like he got his talking points from the Tour and flipped

People love hating on others. Probably makes them feel better about themselves (even though they’re likely less than).

I’m sure no one here has ever met or hung out with the guy.

the post hole coverage is way over the top though. Thats on CBS, are they going to follow him into the pisser now? Jeeez

It’s perfect. They do no talking and let what’s happening speak for itself. Like what more could you possibly want?

It was a historic moment for golf. This wasn't your run of the mill major. Rory just won the career grand slam, and after years and years of heartbreak. I loved the CBS coverage at the end and I really appreciated Justin Rose and the caddies giving Rory his space to enjoy the moment alone. Even his family didn't go running out on the green before he had even greeted his playing partners (a big pet peeve of mine). It was a perfect celebration and the coverage was the same.

I’ve noticed the last couple of years, the winner slides the jacket on and gets out of the way…no handshake even (although maybe they exchange pleasantries before the cameras roll) Wouldn’t be surprised if Augusta dictates what the previous champ is supposed to do with their picky decorum rules.

Just watched the on course ceremony and Scottie looked happy, they shook hands, hugged etc. Even more convinced they follow a strict script in the cabin.

For sure. His little spats with fans over the last few years are really what did it for me with Rory. I’m not much of a JT fan either because of that.

I can still acknowledge that they are both elite golfers though.

You can't explain exactly WHY LIV is dirty pool. Not without wading waist deep into a pool of hypocrisy.

This had to be a tough day for Jim and a few others here.

Yesterday the narrative was Bryson is balls deep in Rory’s head. Thing Rory silenced that today.

Bryson melted big time today. Rory still shot 73 with multiple doubles and ended up in a playoff with someone who started the day 7 shots back.

I’m not totally convinced his Sunday round mental issues are completely gone.
