How is it that American soccer fans are usually the biggest group of pansies ever assembled in a stadium? Gymnastics fans could probably kick their arse.

USA Soccer is a middle to upper middle class event. It is also fairly liberal. These are not the types of people to stir up fights.

People are asking FIFA to change the 2026 World Cup from Mexico over this. I am not big on banning, because of one incident, however maybe a move should be considered? This is pretty savage behavior.

A ref was stobed, beheaded and quartered by the crowd after he stabbed someone on the field at a game in Brazil did they want that location changed?

This was some type of revenge fight by rival gangs

That was a local amateur ref. This was in the first division in Mexico

It probably started between the two barras, but they attacked anyone that was wearing an away jersey

If you can’t understand the difference between some isolated incident in some amateur league game in bum frick Brazil and what happened in Mexico I can’t help you brother bear.

I didn’t see any machetes or spears, you’re just making shite up. Regardless the reason Mexico needs to be punished is they knew there was a strong chance of violence and they did nothing to prevent it. There was no police presence

Someome interviewed on the spanish channel said they had spears and machetes

And that the cops unlcoked the gates and let them in
Also that the cops were beating and stabbing ppl

quote:

After several minutes some of the fights moved to the field where they continued punching and kicking. Some people were armed with chairs and metal bars.

One fan could be seen pulling a knife to cut the nets of one goal. Others destroyed one side’s bench and some fought in the tunnel to the field.

There is a picture of a guy all tatted up with one in his hand
Like any of you know where Jalisco is in Mex

UEFA banned all English clubs from European competitions for 5 years after the Heysel disaster in the 80s, so there is some precedence for severe widespread sanctions.
They banned club teams, but not the English national team. There is no precedent for national team sanctions due to domestic club incidences.

I know. That's why I literally typed "English clubs" and "some precedence" in my post.

It would be super easy to take away the games.

If I remember correctly, the US has 40 games, Canada has 10 games, and Mexico has 10. You could figure out a schedule where the US gets 7 more games and Canada takes 3 games in less than hour.

Now they won’t do that, but it would be super easy to change.

Unless you miss-gender them.

I'll admit that as much as I fricking hate Mexican soccer and their fans, I don't think pulling the WC from them would be fair or reasonable at this point. For starters, Azteca, Monterrey, and Akron will be cool sites for it, and they will have those places locked down so tight for security that you couldn't put a needle through their assholes.

Queretaro should be imploded as a club, and there should never be a professional team from there ever again. Atlas should be suspended the rest of the season. Liga MX should play the rest of the season without fans. CONCACAF should not allow fans in Mexico for the foreseeable future as well. Start with those four and proceed from there.

After what happened, who tf is going to willingly go to a game in Mexico? Drastic shite needs to happen to shock them, because that violence shocked the world

Notice the outlets like ESPN and NBC news aren’t reporting there were deaths despite the social media images showing there obviously were
