I don't ever watch a Cardinals game. They're just a bland franchise for me, so I have not seen Maserati Marv in action yet. Is he really bad? Or is he in a bad situation like Nabers?

No, he’s just extremely mid, and the cardinals spent the 4th overall pick on him.

He’s like 28th in air yards per reception, which is completely in unshocking to me.

He’s a really good player, Anquon Boldin was a really good player. Played a really long time and made a shite ton of money. But he was never in the top tier of receivers in the league and was never considered “generational.” MHJ is more Boldin than he is Moss or TO or Johnson

This is some major disrespect to Anquan Boldin. No way in hell MHJ becomes a 7x 1,000 yard receiver, even with the extra game a year.

Trust me

My fantasy team knows he's overrated. Here I was thinking he would be as good as Michael Thomas lite with being an elite route runner and slant king.

I think MHJ could end up being a 5+ time 1k receiver and play a lot of years based on his game. But I don’t see him being a real game changer teams have to game plan around because he can’t take the lid off the defense.

He’s a really good player you’d want on your team for $20-$25 million a year, not $35+ million a year

You quoted me saying "That drop was bad".

And followed it up with a

but also a horribly underthrown ball.

That was not a horribly thrown ball. He literally jumped in the air when it was falling into his lap. Marray was under pressure and made a totally acceptable pass with a man in his face. MHJ's problem is not Kyler Murray, it's that he's just not the receiver everybody thought he was.

I had to double check who his Daddy is: I remembered right, his Dad was Peyton Manning's go-to receiver for many years at Indianapolis.
which makes the title of this thread drip in a tsunami of irony.

Man, I just don't see it. Could be wrong but I lean more to bust than to 5x 1K yard guy.

For sure. I think that's already pretty clear.

He’s a really good player

Is he though? Like what has he done in the NFL to show he is a really good player? I'm not asking this because I'm a MHJ hater (which I will freely admit), I just don't know what he's done to give him that benefit of the doubt.

The fact that he was the highest drafted WR since Amari Cooper in 2015 makes it that much worse.

Like I say, I'm a hater, I think he was a really good college WR, but haven't seen anything to make me think he is a really good NFL player.

He had 880 yards, 115 targets, and 8 TDs as a rookie. He’s already a tier 2 receiver.

And some people hate Kyler

He was definitely bad yesterday. I try to watch him when I can. Kyler isn’t helping (he misses MHJ being wide open a lot more than I’d expect), but I think Marv is starting to get in his own head.

I think Mazerati Marv has officially been demoted to Mazda Marv.

Literally his size, nickname, & father turned him from a Day 2 pick to a high Day 1 pick

I'd love to see Malik Nabers try to make this snag

He is out here putting up great stats lately and of course LSU fans are hating on him because he stole Nabors Heisman. Give him a better QB and he would be putting up top 5 receiving yards instead of top 20. Even Chase sucks lately with a bad QB.

Coming into today he was 38th behind two Giants wrs including Nabers and wrs with awesome qbs like Bryce Young, Justin Fields, and whatever the hell they're doing in Minnesota.
