Yea I could single handedly make that organization worse.

He has a lot of learning to do still. Ball security is a big issue and that's something he can learn in practice. Maybe that's why he never gets to play?

Coming from someone who also graduated from Tivy (before his time), i'd love for him to succeed. But the guy couldn't keep his life straight if his life depended on it. Or at least his career.

Holy shite. This guy gets absolutely destroyed for going out while a guy like Hardy's got no problem.

Petting just got his excuse to cut bait because he's never wanted him.

Manziel needs a new team.

And I think this is all bull shite. He drank on a bye week. Big fricking deal.

What the frick are you talking about? Hardy has been destroyed by national news and talk shows. Same goes for Jerrah. I haven't seen cnn giving a shite about Johnny.

The Pats would be the best place for him IMO. They play a hybrid spread and he could learn from Brady.

In this case that seems like hyperbole. He's prioritized living a party life above his football career IMO - that's his choice to make. But he can't complain fairly that he's being treated differently that other celebrity athletes because we live in the time of TMZ

Here's the real deal. Johnny doesn't have a drinking problem. He went to rehab for the wrong reasons.

You have no idea if that's true or not. You are literally making this up.

You can be pissed all you want. If they aren't alcoholics and you are, there is and should be a different standard.

I doubt Johnny is actually an alcoholic.

As others have said, rehab hurt his image more than helped.

No rehab = Johnny is an immature playboy who needs to reel it in and focus

Rehab = Johnny is an alcoholic who can't be trusted. Bench him the next time he's seen drinking.

You can doubt it all you want, but you are basing this on nothing.

And, this says nothing about whether he is an alcoholic. Being an alcoholic hurt his image. Rehab was just an admission of it. His inability to control his drinking despite his promises to walk the straight and narrow is another indicator. It's clear that he's breaking the expectations set forth by the Browns given that they have demoted him. This is the most important thing in his life...his career. And, he couldn't control his behavior. That is another indicator.

He went to rehab in the offseason. I'm sure there were private discussions between him and the front office about his behavior.

I haven't seen anything on Winston. I imagine he has a bigger spotlight on him as far as cameras.

Manziel clearly hasn't put football first. I'm not saying he has to, but the Browns sure seem to feel that way.

So does every Browns player who went out last weekend get demoted? Kannel on radio said 95% of the team was doing the exact same thing on their bye week

did all those players just get out of rehab for alcoholism as well?

Now, I can't say for sure, but I would bet Manziel never was an alcoholic. I think he just went into rehab to repair his image. We see it all the time. It's kind of like when a person gets caught with drugs or DUI and the court makes them seek counseling. We expect people to do it because we assume anybody who does alcohol or drugs has an addiction problem.

And I bet you the veterans of the league (3+ years) dont fit into that category. Which is why they are still playing. Work hard, play hard when the time is right

Don't remember who said it, but there's a lot of truth here:

"Everybody plays their way into this league, but most guys drink and frick their way out of the league."
