All those years rebuilding the farm and Cashman’s gunna blow it on Sonny Gray and half a year of Machado.

There's no way he actually stays with Milwaukee after this year right?

I can't see a star like him choosing them over the likes of LA, NY, or Philly in free agency, unless the pay discrepancy is massive.

I don’t think they can afford him

Doesn't make much sense to me. Andujar has been just fine and its not like they're otherwise hurting to upgrade the offense. Would seem like a pointless waste of prospects for a rental.

Andujar producing has made him a luxury and him not wanting to play 3B the Yankees have other needs. That would be a surplus if Bird/Austin were performing

Remember that time someone on this board said Bird > Yuli.

Not sure if that was me or not, last postseason it was true. Bird was killing the Astros

It was. shortly before the season started or a few days into it I think. Yuli was out with surgery, Bird was presumed healthy for like 3 more days.

I've shite on Bird a lot this year, advocated that Austin start over him even.
He looked great in the ALCS and at 25 seemed like he would break out, not break down.

seems like they've been waiting for that breakout for like 3 years. Showed promise in 2015, missed 2016, most of 2017 and still dealing with injuries/struggles in 2018.

If there's an offensive area the Yankees can upgrade its 1st and I thought the rumored Moose trade made perfect sense. I think he'd wreck shite playing in Yankee stadium.

Yeah but Moose needs a platoon partner, I'm curious if this offseason the Yankees try to convert Sanchez or Andujar to 1B or maybe go after like Mauer/Murphy/Adams as a stop gap
