The bleacher section of most ballparks is still 20+ dollars then you have to include food and parking.

What teams need to do is lower the cost of seating in order to bring back the average fan and families.
Totally agree. If you can get the ones unwilling to spend $20+ per seat in the stadium, a large majority will buy concessions. Easy money being made for a ballclub.

Why? Birmingham averages like 8000 to shitty AA games. Birmingham and Alabama is on par with Milwaukee and Wisconsin in terms of size, and they do well with multiple sports. Same could be said for LA, TN, and the Carolina's.

DART goes to Arlington. Not ideal, but it does go there and there is a pick up/drop off to the stadium

What rail line goes into Arlington? Are you talking about the Richland Hills, Bell, and Irving stops on the TRE? I wouldn't count those at all.

Unless there was a wreck, I drove 60+ times each year for the last three seasons from Dallas to Arlington and it took 20-30 minutes tops and that's with parking.

Where are you coming from and what route do you take? I always get stuck it he worst traffic when I go out for baseball or football games.

If you're afraid of getting a DWI then don't drink. I hardly ever drank at the games for this very thing - that and it was a lot of weeknight games.

How does one watch the shite the Rangers have been trotting out w/o drinking to ease the pain?

Milwaukee is bigger and more importantly a bigger media
market by about 200k television sets amd the 8k attendence means little. You'll also have to have suites they need to be bought by mostly corporations and you have only 1 fortune 500 located there.

Once again,MLB is a completely different ballgame in regards to revenue and what it takes to be successful...you have to be in a MAJOR media market with corporate supportif you wanna have chance to be successful with an expansion club.Smaller markets obviously have a better shot in the NFL because of revenue sharing and salary cap.

A salary cap has certainly given the NBA more parity than ever.

It's no where near the hard cap the NFL imposes.

I've been to two games this year at Target Field because I got free tickets. I know where I can park for 6 bucks for night games and be close but when I have tix to a day game it's 13 to park in the same parking garage because the deal doesn't start till 4:30pm.

Concessions are outrageous. It's 9 dollars for a 16 ounce beer either draft or tall boy. The best deal for beer is the 25 ounce can of bud or bud light for 13 bucks. A freaking hot dog is $6. So if I want two hot dogs and the best value for beer it costs 25 dollars. If you want popcorn that's 5 dollars and the mini souvenir batting helmet of ice cream is 7 dollars.

I pay for cable and I get the MLB.tv and that is the better deal for a baseball fan as much as I love going to baseball games.

A) it's too expensive. Tickets, parking, concessions will dent the average Joe's bank account pretty hard. Last time I went to Kaufmann to see Stros/Royals a 16 oz Miller Lite was $10. Plain hot dog was $12. Its fricking ridiculous. You have 81 or more home games - quit gouging the fans and people will go watch more frequently.

B) Quit fricking with the game, Manfred. The last few years seem like nascar with changing the rules every off season.

C) Put the Astros back in the NL where they belong.

Indians are having one of their dollar dogs, two dollar bud light nights tonight. Will be sold out. Why this doesn't happen more often is mind boggling.

Compared to what?NFL?NBA?NHL?

MLB has always been the best deal between all those sports. In smaller and medium markets you can get a weekday bleacher tickets for $10 to $20 and you can also bring in food and bottled water.Have a beer before
the game if the price bothers you that much.

I’m in Arlington this weekend and wanted to take my family to see the Rangers tonight. Left field seats for 4 of us was going to cost me $189. That doesn’t include parking and concessions. That’s for a single game against the Rockies. That’s insane and why I’ll be listening to the game while swimming with the kids tonight.

What part of weekday and bleacher seat didn't you not get?

If you're there Tuesday nt you can go for $20 per ticket and you can bring in food.

Why are concession stand prices so expensive? Could you imagine how many more people would attend games if nachos and 2 beers weren’t $30?
