That play was scripted. That receiver deflected the ball perfectly and intentionally go practically hand it to the Lions db and then of KC gave up on the play immediately to make sure Detroit would win by 1.

-should write for the Bee because that sounded exactly like the “nfl is rigged” conspiracy nutjobs

I heard some sports jockey say there are 9 players making more than Mahomes.

Amazing how he forgot how to catch the second he was drafted.

It could be worse. You could be the 49ers and given up a frickin war chest to get Lance to turn around and give him up for peanuts. Good game from Detroit. I really like their turnaround and Campbell is one of my favorites.

That's really an amazing pic ... dude is wide open, Mahomes is like the distance between me and my TV away from the receiver, the pass is on the money and dude is staring it down ... and yet somehow it all results in a pick 6.

Not wholly dissimilar to our several drops at money time when we were trying to get back in the FSU game.

Everyone is giving their best and no one play ever costs you a game, but man, certain momentum shifting plays like that can be real ball busters.

dude the Chief's WR1 was out tonight with a knee injury, and he gets paid a lot.

Their defensive MVP (and a guy who got noise for DPOY last year) who also makes a ton sat out last night

Their OL is paid a shite ton. I think they may have the most expensive OL.

Let's see what happens to the Bengals roster when Burrows contract kicks in. Can't pay everyone when the Qb gets a big chunk of your cap

Guess it depends on how you spin it. Mahomes "makes" about $5.5M this year. There are 5 players with a higher salary on the team. But what those 5 players don't have is $8.7M in prorated bonus money, $22M for a roster bonus, another $3M in bonuses for a $39.7M cap hit, which is the highest cap hit across the league for 2023 (2nd is Tannehill at $36.6M )
