You're not wrong that his decision worked out, but their crew pulled it off in very sloppy fashion.

Lakers have a bunch of corpses to shed
Can easily fill the roster with vets and league minimum ring chasers
Lakers aren’t going anywhere
Unfortunately

Gallinari is a great fit
Seems to have overcome his injury issues
Plays a lot tougher and nastier than people give him credit for

LINK

Lots of flexibility in that roster
Pretty much keep top five, Caruso and Kuzma and build from there
Trade expiring Danny green and put galo in that spot and you are in business

Unbelievable the tampering that is allowed by NBA.

Worse than What Real Madrid and Barcelona get away with, and they have they have the Countries media tampering for them.

More likely Giannis goes there. Luka is at the GOAT place for white Euros in the NBA

Lakers fans can gloat all they want for a championship nobody watched, but it isn’t impressive at all. It isn’t a level playing field.

How is it not level? Every other team can offer free agents. There are other huge markets in the league. Don’t be mad because the Lakers happen to run the franchise well.

Clippers did everything you are accusing the Lakers of.

Funny that everyone was claiming how bad the Lakers would be pre-season. Now that the title is complete it suddenly isn’t a level playing field.

This doesn’t make sense at all. This past year was considered to be the start of the era of the dynamic duos and the end of superteams. How is that not considered a level playing field when any good team that was in the playoffs likely featured that? Lakers simply happened to have the best dynamic duo.

Because they KNEW the Lakers would fail this year. Now that the title is won they are melting and moving the goalposts. It’s all they have left.

So you are telling me it is just as easy to win a championship in LA as it is in Memphis, New Orleans or Indians? If your answer to that is no (Which If you aren’t an idiot it will be) then it shows it isn’t a level playing field.

It isn’t a level playing field in today’s NBA climate. It is all about super stars forcing their way out of their current teams to build super teams in major markets.

The Clippers winning this year wouldn’t have been an accomplishment either.

Lakers tried to rebuild like small market teams do and it was a complete disaster. So they use their location and media market to sign LeBron and then tamper and get another superstar. Small market teams don’t have that option when a rebuild isn’t going well.

What the Lakers did was not impressive. It wasn’t impressive GM management. It wasn’t impressive cap manipulation. It wasn’t great scouting. They won, congrats, just don’t expect everyone to be impressed with they way they went about it.

It’s like the Yankees signing Trevor Bauer this offseason, winning the World Series in 2021 and expecting everyone to be impressed

If Cleveland can win a championship no other team has an excuse.

Pelicans had 7 years to build a team around AD and failed to do so. Hell they couldn’t even give him a dedicated training staff. He had to share one with the Saints.

Again, what team in this league do you seriously consider to be a superteam?

At what point do those same small market teams get held accountable when they luck out on a generational talent via the draft and don’t win a championship with him?
