I figured MSU could be a threat here with Gilbert, Ishbia, Magic, and then even some guys like Draymond.
Gilbert and Ishbia are locked out from donating, which is a killer for them

Shaq is the second largest stake holder in Authentic Brands Group and so I’d imagine just that alone puts him in the billion dollar range

You’re on the clock, Chuck.

Bro, there's a community note on your post saying it's false.

I don't understand why people are investing into NIL or colleges. What is the pay off? Even if I was a billionaire, I'm not giving 100s of thousands, much less millions, to maybe have a chance on a school winning a Championship.
It is nothing like pro leagues, where you can buy into a team then get money back if you sell. The schools (programs) make money, that's the money that should go to the players. That's how a business runs. I always hated the Yankees for massively spending. But that was money they earned, that they spent instead of taking in more profits. They didn't go to their fanbase each off season and pass the hat.
We all know that this isn't substanable. But these contributors are making it worse. The system doesn't get fixed if guys are sending the programs or players tons of money with no expectations. They have to know this..

I love how most of the people posting ignored the community note

Johnson is partial owner of
- Los Angeles Dodgers
- Washington Commanders
- Los Angeles Sparks (wnba)
- Los Angeles FC (soccer)
- Washington Spirit (women's soccer)
He also owns/owned
- Several movie theaters
- 125 Starbucks (sold)
- controlling interest in EquiTrust Life Insurance
- aspire tv
- minority owner in Pepsi
- 4% share of Lakers (sold for 27m)
- vast real estate profile
- Burger King locations all in the south
- 24 hours fitness locations
I'm sure I'm missing some things but that's what I see on Google

If you had money like Ishbia, Gilbert, and Magic you have to think of owning a pro team versus bankrolling NIL. There is no ROI on NIL,
Magic is part owner of an NFL team

I don’t know why these guys want to waste money on NIL. They didn’t get payed big bucks on college, although some might have.
