Idk but people make USC seem like a better job than it actually is. Same type of crowd that also thinks Nebraska can come back.

Luke is afraid to leave Ohio. He turned down the Michigan State job that went to Tucker. There's no way Cincy becomes a power program even in the diluted Big 12.

USC has so many advantages over Nebraska. It's understandable why Nebraska fell off in the modern football landscape. That does not apply to USC.

I'm not sure USC is a destination job right now. Money is all they have to offer. Quality of life is an issue. Would you want to raise a family in Southern California? That state is having an exodus of people because the quality of life is not as good. Big Time recruits are heading East to land at places that care more about football that life itself.
USC might be your last job so get paid well with a huge buyout so you won't have to worry about coaching again if it destroys your career.

Doubt any of those come open this year or anytime soon. Fickell has a senior QB and Heisman contender this year (Ridder) and they can potentially go undefeated - after this year it may be a good time to bolt.

bro, when you make millions upon millions...there is not a much better place to raise your kids. Its beautiful, great weather and if you have that kind of money, you will live around nothing but upperclass/wealthy good people.
dont look at everything through the lense of politics.
if you are asking if I would want to raise my family in southern cali? for a 3 million dollar a year pay raise and making 6-8 million a year....I would take that over raising them in cincy ohio any day. Better schools, better weather, more oppurtunities pretty much no matter the industry.

I see you're laughing but do you know where Clemson's Starting QB, 5-star DJ Uiagalelei was recruited from? I'll give you a hint...He lives close to the campus of USC.

I was wondering the same thing. From what I know, USC has fallen behind their peers in terms of facilities and support services offered to the athletes.
I believe USC has made several commitments to catch up. The Coliseum is undergoing improvements as are their other facilities.
People look at USC and Florida State as what they were in the 2000-2010 era. CFB has undergone MASSIVE sea changes since those times. Both have been somewhat left behind

When you make "millions" you can probably live well anywhere in the nation. I don't know how much traveling you've done but I've been fortunate enough to see a lot of this country and Southern Cal is just too much everything. I could live in the Northern Part of the state.
I'm not a big Ohio guy either. My point is that it's going to take a personality that is right for the culture.

I think yall don't understand what an advantage NIL could be for USC.

NIL should thrive at USC not because of it being in LA but because USC has a number of highly successful alumni.
USC athletes should be able to benefit from endorsing alumni businesses. The general LA endorsement market will likely go towards pro athletes.

Is USC truly a destination job. One coach ran away in the dead of the night due to multiple violations, one was fired on the tarmac at the airport, and one was let go after two games into this season.
The only way USC has won in 30 years is to cheat. Hardly a destination.
