I don't get why that's funny.

At 20, Luka has been better basiaclly across the board than Lebron was at 20. It's only 13 games, but he's certainly trending to have a better 2nd season than Lebron.

Current pace = 64 wins. And Eric is out and was playing hurt to start the year, costing the team a couple games. This could easily be another sleepwalk to 60 campaign for harden. They may need it to get him his mvp bc you know Gina will win 60 in Milwaukee in that abysmal conference.

LeBron was a much better defender, a better 3 point shooter and did it at a lower usage and slower pace.

That said, a ton of respect to Luka. It's impressive he can be legitimately compared to a young LeBron. I'm very interested to see how he finishes the year. Finishing with a 30+ PER would be insane at his age.

His development as a defender is a huge part of how his career ultimately goes. If he continues on an arc to challenge the greats, that's the aspect of his game that needs to develop.

Yea, but neither really good at 20.

And Luka better at everything else, so like I said, Luka at 20 is better basically across the board than Lebron was.

and slower pace.
Per 100 possessions:

Lebron: 34/9/9
Luka: 40/15/13...and a good bit more efficient

Luka's usage rate is much higher, 5%.

LeBron's defensive win shares were 4.6, which blow Luka out of the water at 0.5. 4.6 is a very good number. Peak MJ was just above 5 most seasons.

If Luka holds the plus 30 PER all year, I'll give you that he had a better year than LeBron at 20. +30 is elite by any measure.

The per 100 isn't the greatest measuring stick. Luka's usage rate is 5 points higher than LeBron, which accounts for a lot of that difference.

Like I said, though, Luka is off to a fantastic start and I'm excited to see where he goes.

This. Long ways to go, only 13 games in. But just pointing out to this point, Luka has been better.

I still think that's advantage Luka. He's able to keep the high usage rate and still produce efficiently.

That's the first thing anyone brings up when talking about a white player...oh, here we go again...gotta trot out the he doesn't play any defense.

Most of the league doesn't play any defense.

Magic Johnson didn't play any defense. Games were 149-115.

But I love when people suddenly act like defense is a big deal in the NBA.

Vs PER, maybe. Per 100, usage really helps you.

Side note, today's NBA produces much greater efficiency numbers.

This year, 5 players have 29+ PER's so far. In 04-05, zero players had +29 PER's. KG led the league at 28.2.

I don't think this is true. Marc Gasol won DPOY. John Stockton is regarded as a really good defender in the historical sense, and his D is a big reason I'd rate him the #2 PG of all time.

I'm not sure who you think these lockdown guys are who are only downgraded because they're white.

Except he can actually shoot the ball eminently better from a variety of ranges, IDK much about his defense but if he can play D at roughly the same level prime Larry Bird did he'll be unstoppable
