I remember like 10-12 years ago when the GOAT female golfer in the middle of her prime finished nearly dead last in a PGA tour event.

You are correct. I am biased but I think the mixture of the extreme weather conditions and that is was his first PGA event got to him.
Can't wait to see what he does this week in Memphis though.

Yeh I just looked it up. 9 out of 10 women in the top 10 rankings average right at 255 yards. So the boys would be about 50 yards further off the tee than the competition.
50 yard is pretty big stretch in my opinion. Only 17 pros average that far off the box. None of which are in the top 50 in driving accuracy.
Stop listening to your baw who says he mashes 300+ off the tea all the time, it just doesn't happen for regular golfers with any kind of consistency.

Lots of people hit it 300 with consistency. Even shitty golfers.
Pros just do it with consistent accuracy and control.

when I say consistency I mean I come up to the box and I know the ball is going to with-in a 50 yard radius of where I was aiming.
any jackass can say they hit it 300 yard when its in someone's backyard two blocks away and they are too embarrassed to go get it.

Do you know how average driving distance is calculated? Much more than 17 pros hit it 300+ yards off the tee. You see guys like DJ, Bubba, Woodland, Phil, Rory etc. sending 340-360 yard bombs every week, but DJ at 317 is the longest average on tour.
A lot of amateurs can it it 300+ yards.
Given the way driving distance is calculated, I would say PGA tour averages are skewed artificially low compared to what they really ought to be. I don't think that is the case for the LPGA.

Sure they can but very few are doing it with any kind of consistency.

The top 10 high school guys are. Point being, I don't think a 50 yard advantage off the tee over LPGA players sounds like a stretch. Seems accurate to me.

What's with this assumption that all the Top players average 310 off the tee? The number 2 ranked junior just played in the Byron Nelson and was in the 260-280 range the whole time.
ETA: I think Sam Burns was only around 280-290 at the Valero.

I think the big difference maker would be the guys hitting short irons where the girls have to hit long irons.
If they let the guys play up with the girls, the guys would be hitting little flip wedges (read in your best Johnny Miller voice) all day long.
If they played back from PGA length, I doubt the girls would be accustomed to hitting long iron into every green or having greens they can't reach in regulation.

Just wrong. I play with 7 guys regularly, none better than a 6 handicap, and 5/7 hit their driver 300 consistently.
