It seems like Goodell and others are confused by this. They're offering instant replay to be shown in stadium when it's a close play. Do these guys not realize that the average fan doesn't want to spend almost half of their weekly paycheck to take their family to a game? Prices for tickets,

if the nfl, nba and mlb went belly up tomorrow i would be ok and wouldn't lose a minutes sleep. i love basball and football but the athletes get paid too much and i rarely attend games. and now that houston fans got hosed and a new AL team will be in town, i doubt i'll go at all.

The "the athletes get paid too much" is one of the worst statements/excuses ever.

Puts going to a game in perspective too.

At a Saints game we get all rowdy for a kick-off, start cheering all that nonsense then 5 seconds of action and it's a commercial break so we sit on our hands.

RedZone...6 kickoffs in a row and jump right into the action.

What does paid too much mean? Who should get the money then, the owners? Or do you navie fools think that if tickets were lower priced demand would not skyrocket and the ticket scalpers would simply charge more (as it is, most tickets are UNDER priced, that's why there is a secondary market). And who should get all the money for advertising and TV rights if the players are paid too much?

we got DTV for our house in athens and on sundays i'd just take the box out our rooms and we'd have one TV on the falcons and the other on the RedZone and we'd alternate it for when my roommates teams would play. i never wanna go to a game again

Maybe they think the money should go to the people cooking the hotdogs and popcorn.lol. You get what you pay for. If you want the best product in the world, you have to pay them otherwise you'll get CFL or Arena league type of football.

Fortuantely, Ive gone to two lions and have yet to see this. Wouldnt go near a niners or raiders games (even dolphins games have been rowdy)

While popularity is through the roof, NFL attendance is the lowest it has been in 10 years. It seems like Goodell and others are confused by this. Prices for tickets, concessions, and parking are just ridiculous. Don't get me wrong I love being in the atmosphere and I'll choose going to the game over sitting on my couch, but the opportunity cost of not being there live<<<< drinking 6 beers for the cost of 1 if I were at a game and being able to flip to the other games rather than spend a couple hundred.

That's why I love MLB games. Ticket prices are cheap, product is good, every stadium is unique in it's own way. Now food and beer are high priced but MLB games are more family friendly.

Non-sold out stadiums around the country would not support that hypothesis.
