Was kind of hoping it would be Starks though I knew that was a long shot. Seems like a good hire as first-time head coaches go (I think this is his first HC job).

Good recruiter and developer of talent who's worked many years under Sampson and helped build UH from a nothing afterthought to a national power. You know ULL will play tough defense and rebound like crazy.

I talked to him walking out of the Sunkist and he was very respectful and talkative. Talked basketball. I know how he can get, but to someone who he'd never met, he was a nice dude.
Saying that, he doesn't deserve to be UL's coach. He's got a pretty nice AAU/Camp circuit in Lafayette parish.
