Problem is that most of Monroe is so ate up with LSU that they could give a shite about ULM. The only way the school gets support is if they get on a roll and start winning, then it kinda becomes the cool thing to do. I don't know about baseball but I know the year that ULM knocked off #4 Arkie and went to OT with Auburn in football, fans started coming out of the woodwork.

Imagine that, fans responding positively to winning.

Yeah, imagine that. A sign of a solid program is one that goes through a losing/average streak and still pulls in the non-bandwagon fans. In that regard, ULL and LA Tech have lapped ULM.

Cajuns beat Nicholls 2-1.

Once again, our bats were ice cold. We didn’t get our first hit until the 5th inning. It’s been brutal to watch. All I have to say is that we better wake up before this 7 game stretch against 4 straight SEC opponents (Mississippi State, Vandy, Kentucky, LSU) and a weekend series against nationally ranked South Alabama team, or it might get ugly.

What did y’all lose to get so bad offensively? I feel like y’all had some solid hitters last year from 1-5ish.

Jeremy Talbot is the world's worst hitting coach. Every player has either regressed or stayed the same at the plate since making it on campus. Our big time pitching recruits all look great but our hitters have not looked impressive since he took over

Because they’ve been very successful recently. ULM has gone to 1 bowl game ever. Tech has won 4 in a row. Seemed like ULL went to Nola every year for a decade. Prior to that, there wasn’t much fan support at all at Tech.

Since JT has been here, our hitters have been hot and cold. When they’re on, they look like they’re destined for Omaha. But when they can’t get a hit, they look like the Bad News Bears could beat them. Add the fact that we have quite a few new starters this season, and you have a team that gets its first base hit in the 5th inning at home in a midweek game. It’s been an ongoing problem since Deggs left.

Not sure if you noticed but the Sunbelt has suspended the crew from last weekends series. Only one game, but it justifies the complaints everyone had.

That sucks for a guy like Hayden Cantrelle. He's got top 2-3 round potential.

I can't see Talbot lasting another off-season. Maggard hasn't been the type to frick around with coaches. If Robe is too loyal, Maggard won't be.
