Looking like Dechambeau and Reed are going to play LIV now also.

I believe they will start at the first IS event. This is getting interesting. Moynihan must be puckered up.

Kim Si-Woo, Hideki Matsuyama, Max Homa, Davis Riley and Brian Stuard also rumored to be leaving the PGA Tour for LIV.

He's been very outspoken about not leaving so this would be surprising. But his best baw is Gooch

Bryson said last weekend he wasn't leaving and saw no gain for leaving the PGA Tour at this point in his career. DJ said he wasn't leaving a couple months ago. Rickie Fowler said on the full send podcast he wasn't leaving last week. They're all lying through their teeth

I don't know much about LIV but it seems to be focused on more making golf more fun for fans to watch by creating teams/faster play/ louder environment etc.

If that's the case why in the world would they be adding Dechambeau the human rain delay?

Both of these were pretty clearly smokescreens if you followed the story

I was fairly surprised by Rickie

My only point is Homa was one of the only guys that didn't put out some word salad statement. He was adamant that he wasnt going multiple times on multiple platforms straight up.

Im not saying its not possible, it would just be very surprising

Huh?

I'm not sure that is what's happening here.

LIV could be the most liberal sporting entity on the planet and Phil would still be crawling to it on his hands and knees if he was offered $200m to show up.

Anyone got links to any of this?

I think its funny people are saying Phil is doing it ONLY to pay off his gambling debts. Its WAY more freaking money, it doesn't matter what he needs or is using it for.

Gooch too, which surprises me because he has been playing well. Could see him winning a major in the next year or so. Really good git for LIV because they are going to need some young talent

Max did not know his wife was pregnant at the time either when he made those statements. Now the reality of paying for children has entered into the conversation for him.

I'm not leaving translates to "up your offer". Nothing more, nothing less.

Only 54-Hole Events
No missed cuts
More money

No wonder players are going. The biggest question is, can LIV sustain the money they are throwing at the players?

What sport isn't about the money? The almighty dollar runs this world. The LIV league now has 9 different major winners in the barn. With that type of name recognition, why shouldn't they be well compensated for the risk/reward move?
