Liv can’t comment on whether a tournament 3 weeks away is happening(when it’s 100% obvious it isn’t happening yet they refuse to announce it)
They can’t comment on who the investor is

When they say "players will have a major equity stake" do they mean every player will have major equity?
If so, that reeks of desperation. Back in the days of the old USFL, the Shreveport Steamers were giving away stock to the local laundromat that washed their uniforms as a form of payment.

$250 million is a drop in the bucket for what LIV needs to stay in operation. That doesn't even cover the remainder of Rahm and a couple other players contracts let alone funding operations.
I'm not even a LIV hater, it drove some necessary change with the PGA tour. That said, it's time has passed and it's time to just wrap it all up and see how things get sorted out.

They didn’t announce they got 250 million either. They wouldn’t comment on anything of the “terms”

PGA Tour is way worse off now than before LIV ever existed. pGA had to bring in PE and over extended themselves to thwart off this hostile takeover attempt.

It’s impossible to even stat a new Football league, and football has a different galaxy of popularity than golf. There is a 0.0%% chance you can turn a profit with a new golf league. It couldn’t even work with unlimited Saudi money . Even with the best business minds it is impossible.

True, I was commenting on this part of the articles that have been out there today. "O'Neil is seeking $250 million to $300 million to keep the league alive"
That money isn't going to save the league.

Agree. I really can't imagine why they are trying to continue on a this point unless they are trying to show that they aren't abandoning their responsibilities for the following bankruptcy.

PGA tour viewership is now the highest since it peaked in 2006 with a prime Tiger leading viewership and has been trending up since their renewed efforts since LIV got started. Last weeks 3M tournament viewership was up 100% from last year and has had YOY gains in the last 5 years. They would have ever been forced to refocus if LIV never challenged them.
PE was always going to be at play with the tour, as it's found its way into every other sport and now even college sports. Debate the health of that all you want, but it was always going to happen.

Scottie definitely helped, but also highlights something LIV has failed miserably at. They’ve just shown no ability to make stars out of no name players or out of young talent.
In the past couple of years you’ve had guys like Ben Griffin, Gotterup, Koivun, Aberg, Thornjornsen, Ryan Gerard, Alex Fitzpatrick, Bud Cauley all have a win or go on runs or have moments where they’ve captured the public’s attention and become, if not household names or stars, at least players that the moderately engaged fan is interested in and aware of on a leaderboard. There isn’t a single player on LIV (other than Bryson on YouTube) who is more popular after going to LIV than they were before.
