Major league stop and throw

BTW… when did they start batting 12 deep? That’s ridiculous.

I was pulling for Louisiana. We are Pearland and our 9U All Star team lost in sectionals to Lamar. They are a good LL program with a very nice facility but the people something different.

Watched a few innings of the LA / TX game. LA definitely won the battle of moms.

I’m enjoying the games. Kids playing hard and not arguing with umpires.

Way back in the day, I wish my "little league" had been a part of the national organization. I played on some good tournament teams.

Our rules were different, though. At that age, our fields/baselines/mound distances were longer and we were pitching from the stretch and stealing.

So lame the way this bracket played out though Should be another game

It can’t be rocket science to add an 8th team instead of a team getting a bye for no reason.

Irmo, South Carolina shocks defending champ Florida to advance to the LLWS. Scored 5 runs with 2 outs in the 6th. Up to this point, Florida had outscored its opponents 106-4 since the state tournament.

There's absolutely no reason the undefeated team in regionals is not afforded any mulligan loss, but every single other team in the bracket was afforded a mulligan loss. It should be the exact opposite. The team that goes undefeated should have a mulligan loss, and the other teams not get 1, but then you literally could not set up a bracket that way as it'd just be 2 undefeated teams in finals.

But they definitely should have made LA just win 1x, and Texas East have to win 2x because LA had no losses. Horrible format. Surprised with how popular Little League World Series is that someone hasn't sued yet that's been in LA position this year.

This would be an easy court case for Louisiana to change format and other teams that have been in this position. If that kid took the umpire to court for bat flipping ejection, then you could definitely take this to court with how big LLWS is.

Winner take all format is for ESPN. Little League isn't replacing that revenue and ESPN isn't holding time slots for a bunch of "if necessary" games.

It’s stupid, but it’s not like it’s anything new. You know the format going in. Same thing with the CWS format now that we have two brackets. You can win yours with zero losses, the other team can win with 1 loss, and it’s all wiped out once you hit the title series.
