Florida police plan to charge Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold on multiple felony charges following his arrest on Wednesday, June 24, hours after two defendants agreed to plea deals in a kidnapping and assault case they are alleged to have committed on Arnold’s behalf
quote:
Boakai Hilton, whom Arnold described as “my childhood best friend” in a police video obtained by the Free Press in April, is accused of orchestrating the robbery and beating of Arnold’s personal driver and two of the driver’s associates after Arnold accused the driver of arranging the theft of more than $250,000 in cash and goods from an Airbnb he was renting in February.

Hilton is charged with three counts of felony robbery, three counts of felony kidnapping and one felony count each of conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to commit kidnapping.

And the guys they kidnapped were innocent.
Who knows if this ends his career. See James Pearce Jr.

I am guessing it's a First Degree Felony (not a Capital Felony), so he's facing a wide range of punishment. In Texas, a first degree felony is 5-99 years. If he pleads downward, he could get deferred probation (but if he violates probation, then he will be punished with a prison sentence). FDF has mandatory prison time, but second (up to 15) and lower do not.
Same thing in Florida; armed robbery is FDF, which carries a 5-99 year prison sentence. Kidnapping is same.

Wow. Simply amazing that a millionaire athlete still resorts to doing robberies

Zero. Jersey number seems appropriate.

Here's what he said last week during OTAs.
"I feel like I’ve grown as a person just because, when you have to sit back and look at everything, sometimes silence is the best answer to everything. [...] Some things are better left unsaid."

What in the absolute hell?
Hasn’t he been a model citizen to this point?
Hoping that’s a clickbait headline of max time for flaky charges.

wasn't Henry Ruggs until he got into trouble?

I believe so. Ruggs seemed a bit rougher around the edges, though.
Not that it matters.
Both have made terrible decisions.

Let’s get this young man some community resources and see where he ends up. Prison is no place for a youngster with promise.

10-20-Life law.
That’s some serious punishment there. I like it.

good news for Lions is that he's still on a rookie contract
