Prienu Vytautuas, or BC Prineai as it's often called, is a low-level club from a small, non-English speaking village of roughly 10,000 people in southern Lithuania. The team has been grappling with financial issues, and started the season losing 8 of its first 12 games in the Lithuanian league.
The team is 4-1 in the Baltic League after its lone loss came on a forfeiture. The coach (Virginijus Seskus) received two technical fouls and was ejected late in the game. The team refused to return onto the court for overtime after the game ended 65-65 in regulation.
Vytautuas has sparingly signed American players in the past decade, only ex-Vanderbilt guard Brad Tinsley. He left the team after a month.
The club plays in a 1700 seat arena. 500 of those seats are reserved for team sponsors and their friends. Tickets cost around 5 euro.
The team has no general manager and doesn't practice regularly due to the poor financial situation.
This sounds way more fun than going to UCLA.

Sadly, this is the extent of my understanding of Lithuania:

Virginijus Seskus, coach of Prienu Vytautas, who is considering signing LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball, has been described to me as "the LaVar Ball of Lithuania". Very high energy guy apparently. Loves to get technical fouls. They'll get along great, despite him speaking no english.
I'm told that this Lithuanian coach is known at times to acquire fish, gas (turbo diesel), juice and other things on the black market for very low prices. He sells them to different folks, including players, tax free.

No, the one in high school, he "withdrew" to homeschool.
This is utterly ridiculous by Lavar. His kids are likely going to end up flipping burgers due to him.

People were lined up down the block to get BBB crap at a pop up store in NYC yesterday.

Lithuanian women are straight fire though
I've rarely tried hard to get laid - but in the pre-Mrs. Sheep (no pics) days, I met a FIRE Lithuanian chick (also no pics) in a bar in Indianapolis while on a business trip.
I started talking to her and was throwing every trick I had (and a bunch I didn't) in the book.
I struck out, but it wasn't for lack of effort.

They simply won't play them in favor of guys that are Euro League lifers that can win them a title. They do this to young Euros that look like they can go to the NBA as well. Bench their arse.
This.

I must say I've just accepted this reality and all I'm willing to do is wish them well in this endeavor and pray that God grants them the maturity and wisdom to utilize this for their professional life and become successful individuals in society

Damn, getting a free education at a top American school that can set you up for life living in Los Angeles, or playing for peanuts in Lithuania in a sport that will go no where for you.....
I don’t mind it. I wish more players who don’t value education would do this. Let the real student athletes take the reigns.

the lakers must be thrilled if this means levar ball will be in Eastern Europe for the rest of the season

I fully agree. This is an even worse outcome than I predicted a few weeks ago. I bet they will be onto a new team by February 2018.

And it is going to be up to Lonzo to bankroll this little experiment....
Which would have been a lot easier if he wouldn’t have passed up $100 million in shoe endorsements.
It’s sad to see the two younger brothers missing out on opportunities that most kids only dream about because their dad is a completely selfish idiot. I feel for them. Well, not the one that was stealing in China but the other one.

I doubt Lonzo would have gotten more than 15-20 million guaranteed in his first shoe deal. There would be a ton of incentives that would boost it to 30 million or more, but even Kyrie Irving didn't hit the incentives in his first contract.
Still 15-20 million is much more than Lonzo will be getting from BBB.
