Istrouma is also moving down to 3A so should be interesting on what they are going to do. Just added Doyle last year so a pretty big district already. Broadmoor will be moving up to 4A but still a lot of teams.

I was really hoping they were going to do away with the basic classes now that we have the split seemingly here to stay, unless they really think the split is going away in January

Do we know where the cutoff lines were for enrollment for each class?

Agreed. So again, I hate they are staying with the basic classes.

Wonder if Warren Eastern goes into the Catlick League.

Probably not happening. Prairieville High will most likely be 5A and placed in 5-5A which would make it a 7 team district

I was just about to post the same thing. I don’t see Ponchy on Hammond in 5-5A since Prairieville is opening next year

Btw some long-standing Chalmette records will be falling tomorrow night hopefully

Ethan Couvillon is about one good game from owning all of our season and career passing records for yards and touchdowns, and he’ll have at least four more.

Bolton is transitioning to a K-12 school. Think it happens next year. Haven’t heard heard about them fielding athletic teams. Maybe they drop football and focus on basketball and baseball.

Tensas’ falling enrollment may make them the first parish in many years undoubtedly to not have an LHSAA football team…

Does Cameron Parish have a HS football team? For some reason after Hurricane Laura, I don’t think they do.

Edit: Grand Lake High School does

For now…

Tied for longest kickoff return, 97 yards…

And of course most playoff games won in a season, and only Owl to go to the NFL

Yeah, fans are often not very well-versed in the goings-on.

Well these "fans" aren't "fans" like you're thinking of "fans" lol.
I was watching the wrestling deal because it was supposed to be part of a strategy of competing in all sports with TCHS/STM. No coach yet but supposedly have a wrestler or two either in school or planning on attending. I figured if they decided against wrestling maybe a drop was possible.
Nothing like good ole high school sports gossip & rumors lol

Is prairieville going to open at 9-12, or just open for 9th or 9-10 and add a grade each year?

If they do that then it might take time to get to varsity sports as well as 5A enrollment
