Man, that's tough.
How did the line judge on the left not get a good view of that?

Bad camera angle to say definitively, but the short wing on the visitors side(?) has to come in hard to sell that call. You CANNOT just nonchalantly/casually walk in like he did. You got to at least act like you know that the kid did or didn’t get in. Also, it’s not the umpire’s call, but he probably could/should have helped the short wing get the call right away.

Umpire is kind of blocking the entire view, but best I can tell it looks like he got in to me.

Salute to the General. I thought Robert might have. Thx. Did they all start from the beginning of the season?

Neville was the better team last night. Tough to win in Ruston. Good chance they will meet again.

can't really make the call from that angle - neither can the U. The short wing who has the call looks like he has him marked short the whole way. What we can't see from that angle is where was ball when ball carrier's knew or elbow went down. The U can give help if wings request it which if he did he very well could have said down.

We can clearly see the ball hit the end zone man
Im not blaming the side ref because we have no clue what his angle was but the video is clear the ball hits in the end zone as he is tackled

I know numbers are tight but I honestly felt bad for these guys. Physically they couldn’t keep pace. Mentally they didn’t know the rules. 3rd and 18. Call defensive PI. Not a terrible call if I get past the fact that a guy 3 feet from the play staring at it didn’t call it but the guy 20 yards up field did. They move the ball 15 yards from LOS and give a first down. When it’s pointed out 20 seconds before the next snap they wouldn’t stop play or anything.
And it wasn’t a partisan affair. The Brusly chain crew told me they have never seen anything like it. Had to be between 35-40 penalty flags thrown. They were missing legit no doubt objective penalties like 12 men on the field.

if his knee or elbow is down before this point, it is irrelevant where the ball is and we cannot see that.

The video is clear as day the ball hits the ground before anything on his body
It’s ok to just say that they got it wrong.

actually under our code of ethics I cannot say that but, can you see the ball carriers knee on that video because I cannot. It's a tough call no matter how you slice it.
and you can't see his left knee due to umpire.
the hudl views are clearer and I'll leave it at that.

I have not heard anything about this either. I know St Amant’s principal told the kids to keep it fun and good natured and not to do anything that will damage property
ETA- WAY TO GEAUX GATORS!!!!! A win is a win!!! 2 in a row against EA.
St. Amant takes the series lead 23-22

Question, does some school come in and offer his dad a head coaching job? He left one at St. Fred’s to go to Neville as an assistant. Would take a big school for it to happen. Just wondering

Denham just scored a TD, and got a 15 yard unsportsmanlike for the kid pointing to the sky when he hit the end zone. Absolutely rediculous

What about sideline warnings? I have seen them on both sides of fields with pretty minor infractions. Is that a point of emphasis?

quote:That's an official safety issue and yes. The restricted area should be clear of players and coaches when the snap is imminent or during live ball action. When you let it go it grows and then we have collisions. Really that's nothing new(well at least since officials moved to sidelines a loooong time ago). It's usually a little more prevalent when teams that are used to 5 person crews get 6 or 7 person crews as those two extra deep wings need the sideline area and vision of the other wing on their side. Some crews do a better job of communicating it that others. Collisions or contact in the restricted area is going to get called EVERY time.

A sideline warning is simply a warning meaning "hey coaches and players ya'll aren't giving me enough room"

Was that a Chalmette player a few weeks ago? Because we were playing Booker T Washington and he said he had his chain snatched the play before
