Curtis is playing great ball right now considering the start they had which they still went 4-1. Curtis should win till the dome this year. This is a team that plays their best ball in December year in and year out. The jury is still out on if BM and Jes are championship level teams. They fold like a chair every playoff.

Against the weak part of their schedule, yes.

They are gifted the top seed due to the faulty system in place, so of course they should reach the Dome. They will play a whatever 8/9 seed (Holy Cross, St. Paul's or a weak Evangel) in the quarterfinals as their first playoff game.

actually i think Curtis plays their best in November... you might lose in the Dome every now and then but you never fail to get there

Hey, no one is stopping Jesuit from winning their games. Jesuit will play a weak team their first game of the playoffs too.

In order to win the title, I'm pretty sure they will have to play an extra playoff game with no bye week compared to Curtis after playing a much tougher schedule with no bye weeks. But I don't know why you are even bringing them up.

What I said is accurate. Curtis is winning games at the back end of their schedule against weak teams in a lower classification. Since they have been gifted the top seed, the bracket sets up where they should make it to the Dome. We all expect them to do so.

Curtis has been the best program in the state for a long time, but they have one of their weaker teams in memory by their highest of high standards this year. It happens. I'm sure, if they win Division I, that they will take an immense amount of pride from winning the state title with less than their usual very best talent.

Thoughts on the following games?

Fontainebleau-St. Paul's, South Lafourche-Hahnville, and Live Oak-Central?

uhh two weeks ago Lusher was giving them all kinds of fits until a few big plays put the game away.

And that was before the break. A lot of people came back from sickness, injury, and suspensions for the last two games, and they don't look nearly as far behind as they did last year. This is certainly a step back from the past few years, but they are starting to roll.
